1) Phase Three Rule Of Thirds (7.7% canned 7/10/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Mosaic & Nelson for flavors of white grape, snappy passionfruit, zesty citrus and tropical berries.
versus
2) Phase Three Energetic Mind (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from Chicago with Vic Secret and Citra for flavors of orange, ripe pineapple, tropical melon (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner: Rule Of Thirds
Happy Saturday and Phase Three NEIPA Battle. First is Rule Of Thirds. Citra, Mosaic, & Nelson. Top notch hop combo. The Nelson adds some sweet grape balanced by some tropical and sweet blueberries from Mosaic. Still drinking absolutely outstanding.
Next is Energetic Mind. Citra and Vic Secret. Gives it a prominent and nice pineapple flavor. It's fresh and excellent.
Energetic Mind is more fresh, but the hop combo in Rule Of Thirds is near impossible to beat. Phase Three makes some of the best NEIPAs in the Midwest.

Ayinger Oktoberfest (5.8%): A German Marzen that has authentic German hop and malt flavors hops and spices atop toasty, bready caramel malts.

Ayinger probably makes some of the best German beers overall and this is the gold-standard for a German Marzen. My first try at it this year. It's bready, smooth, complex German Munich malt flavors with the bread, toast, and caramel notes. Yet it's not overly sweet and actually finishes dry and clean making it a drinkable lager. A one-of-a-kind German Marzen

Good deal! Mrs. Lizard has been driving Outbacks for a couple of decades and loves them - they survive her driving! I have an OLD Forester (17 years) and it's still running fine!
