I heard they were changing it up this year.

    Probably fake news.

I find it odd that their own Find Near Me button is removed for Celebration on the SN website; only the Local Delivery option is present. The Find Near Me button is present on all other distributed beers, even those out of season

This about when @SierraTerence jumps on BA and allays our collective anxiety by informing us that Celebration has indeed shipped from the brewery and on its way across the country. Cue SNT. 3, 2, 1...

Hopefully we find a replacement that lives up to the standard that @BillManley set years ago.

Terence was the person at Sierra Nevada that ‘replaced’ Bill Manley as an ambassador after Bill left the company. If you think there is another Sierra Nevada employee that will fill the vacuum here, I suspect you are s*#& out of luck here.

    Cheers!

I was aware that Terence “replaced” Bill, but was no where near as engaged. Is there reason to feel like nobody else will step up? Is Sierra actively boycotting this place?

I have no answers to your specific questions.

it just seems that Sierra Nevada Brewing is disinterested in communicating with us?

    Cheers!

A few years ago I managed to find some Bigfoot that was three or four years old on the shelf at one of my local beer/liquor stores (SF East Bay). I scooped up a four pack and thoroughly enjoyed them, I thought to myself that maybe there are a few connoisseurs that work there and appreciate craft beer.
About a year later I went back and spied sitting out on the shelf collecting dust, as if it were a barrel aged stout, a bomber of Stone Enjoy by 07.04.2016.
Obviously the old Bigfoot was just a happy accident.

Give it enough time on a room temperature shelf and Enjoy By just magically turns into barleywine … right?

On tap at Mills River yesterday. Available in 6-ers to go. As good as ever. Head to head with Northern Hemisphere on tap makes for a fun lunch. Western NC is still in a recovery phase so SN may not promote Celebration as much this year. Cans are dated 9/27, and I believe they let them sit for about 2 weeks before distribution?

Yeah, the math usually works out that the freshest we can get cans is ~4 weeks after the canning date. Which for SN and its quality control is basically like drinking it fresh the day of canning.

Yeah, as long as they continue to can-condition Celebration, the process takes 2 weeks. Consumers should view this as an asset rather than a detriment.

Celebration just landed at Beer Study here in Durham, NC. I'll be leaving shortly to investigate this joyous occurance.
