Been up through the overnight, surprised the 5 AM weekend bar wasn't opened before I popped this one open. Powered by the Halloween edition of Blues Before Sunrise.

Pipeworks & The Aviary Collaboration Flight of the Unicorns

Full review linked above, full New Beer Sunday #1027 treatment linked here. Bottom line, this is very similar with the four year bourbon barrel treatment enjoyed yesterday, but more sweet with the cocktail flavors fuller and the barrel much less prominent (guessing a yearish vs. four). Would recommend to people liking sweet strong English Barleywines, wished these came in 12 oz cans.

Hope everyone has a great beer day today!

Good day BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for opening the bar - somebody had to and looks like you drew the short straw! We don't see much Pipeworks around here - at $10+/ 16 oz it doesn't sell well. And frankly, what I've had doesn't justify the price point. Speaking of not justifying the price point, today's New Breakfast Beer:

Possibly the most average of the BORIS iterations, Fred, please don't do PORIS/HORIS/HEORIS variants - I couldn't stand the disappointment.

Final impression and summation: 3.5 Looks amazingly like used motor oil, minus the slight greenish sheen and the aroma. Really, not much to say – just another R.I.S. of dubious distinction.

    Rating 3.26, rDev -13.1%

    G'day all!

This is a nice "Farmhouse wheat beer with honey", as per the cans label. Canned June 25th. Production time 6 weeks, keep cool and enjoy within one year.

    Prost!

...it's a rare early morning when a beer and a shot are called for, but after completing my mail-in ballot, this calls for some big guns...

This is an outstanding dark beer blend. The flavors run deep and hide the ABV quite well. One hell of a sipper!

I was going through my Firestone collection yesterday and thought these adjuncts would make it an appropriate breakfast beer.

I’ve always loved Ninja vs. Unicorn, but these were my first of several BA I picked up just to try their BA Program.

I stopped twice (never made it before) at their Brewery / Dojo this Summer for $5 sale four packs and enjoyed most, and they’ve thrown in a “dented can” four pack each visit.

I have a B. O. R. I. S. The Crusher I’m looking forward to enjoying in an upcoming weekend. For most BA offerings, I also end up liking the straight base plus Barrel over most variants, including Revolution and Goose Island.

Hope the eye surgery helps for your wife and look forward to your beer pics and selections from San Antonio.

    Cheers!

A peeber with breakfast. Which is a porkroll egg and cheese I put on a Kimmelweck roll. (Which for those who don’t know it’s a Kaiser topped with caraway seeds and pretzel salt. I miss when I lived in New York the everything bagels at the spot had caraway and oat on top as well as the everything seasoning.

lots to do today should probably get moving.

Canned March 26th so I reckon that it lost some of its "punch". Still very drinkable.

A rare early day beer for me - Little Willow Cemetery Walk - Imperial Stout with Chocolate and Marshmallow - 9% ABV. Canned 10/16/24. Rich and decadent.

Howdy folks. Nice weather here today and I already got some chores done. Beer time! Might as well celebrate with a freebie. Checkout lady didn't ring this one up so I got the 6pk on the house. Works out now from when some dinkweed overcharged me this summer. :sunglasses:
