They had some crazy guest taps a couple of years ago on Benthic Friday. Pretty sure it was Monkish cans and Side Project pours. Could be wrong as I was out of town but the FOMO stayed with me

 

2 years ago they had Dark Lord on tap at open, and then as soon as I left around 3-4pm they put on Side Project Rye BBT. It was painful to see that.

 

Last year the standouts were BBT, a Fiden's tap and a Monkish can. Went pretty quick though. Rest of the guests weren't special. Go for the Benthic.

 

I like the fact that this year the regular benthic is only two cans instead of 4!

 

Hey HA-heads - any opinions on the new Far Star Lager? Good, meh, excellent?
Seen it locally, just hesitated....

Bummer they got rid of Side Project. But will for sure try Human Robot.

 

If anyone goes tomorrow, could you share if the variants are in the shop?

No reviews yet? Turtle is looking very mixed on Untapped, bit of a bummer. I'm assuming the guest taps aren't until this weekend/tomorrow because I've seen nothing posted.

 

Benthic great as usual … 2x4 nitro is phenomenal and I wish I could recreate it at home … turtle was not for me, like they poured Quaker Oats into a benthic and handed it to me (sorry Margie’s I still love you) … Troon guest beer was an incredibly easy drinking 10% hazy

also the gumbo is really good

 

Pretty much agreed, just left there. The Turtle was almost there but too oaty. I got a little bit of what they tried for but overall a miss but a solid attempt. Loved the Apple brandy one but you have to like the adjuncts. That Fable though, holy shit. Up there with 2x4.

FYI I saw them in Grand Rapids last night, my third time. Always fantastic and they remain fantastic.

 

I haven’t had the 24 lineup yet, but it seems like it’s proving tough to get back to the heights of 2022’s Sunken Ghosts among the extended aged Benthic variants

 

Anyone know if they've started splitting up the boxes and putting cans in the fridge?
