    Good morning,
I got this gem (#17 on my personal list of over 800 rotating beers) at the "USA BOTTLE CORNER" stand at the tenth edition of one of the most important beer festivals in my country, EurHop 2024:

Hill Farmstead (Vermont, USA) - VERA MAE Vintage 2022 - Farmhouse Ale (6%)

6 Tokens a half glass became a whole thanks to the kindness of the person pouring.
Farmhouse "spring" with organic buckwheat and malted organic farm-grown wheat from (Maine Grains - Meine, USA) with the addition of common dandelion flowers (or "Wolf Teeth" *) from their farm in Vermont (in Greensboro Bend) and Vermont wildflower honey from Northwoods Apiaries (in Westfield).

As soon as it was uncorked, rustic aromas (straw, hay, wheat, wet wood), herbaceous with a sweeter halo at the end (at first it reminded me of yellow-fleshed fruit).
In the glass it appears Straw yellow with the classic little foam of a Farmhouse, only slightly cloudy.
On the nose, the aromas of hay mixed with yellow-fleshed fruit expand: an elegant rustic.
In the mouth, you find the taste of a balanced Farmhouse Ale that on a medium body brings out thirst-quenching flavors of grass (freshly cut, straw), wild flowers, hay, hints of wheat and cereals followed by a pungent, but rapid acidic/sour note of lemon grass. The tongue also remains slightly dehydrated, but the sourness, as mentioned, does not last long and leaves a pleasant taste of durum wheat and flower petals on the palate.
Honestly, I haven't identified the actual taste of honey but it is probably part of all those floral nuances that characterize that rustic and peasant taste that is the basis of the beer.
What can I say? I appreciated everything: the balance, the speed of drinking, the concept of a thirst-quenching farm product, tastes and aftertastes... including that pungent acid note that cleanses the tongue (dehydrating it a bit) and those rustic and floral notes that remain on the palate in a very balanced way making the drink more elegant than what you would expect on average from any Farmhouse Ale.
    Congratulations, magic.

    * The plant is bitter and reminds of chicory, broccoli and bitter vegetables, the flowers on the other hand are excellent for pollination and contribute to the production of honey and are sweeter with a taste tending towards chamomile.

Good day BAs! Thanks @RaulMondesi for opening the bar! And @Jack_14, an excellent review as usual! And @Dethark - I'd really like to try that plum porter!

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Final impression and summation: 3.5 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Looks like Donald Duck orange juice but tastes like wild leeks, a flavor some will associate with weed.

Happy Halloweening to everyone. Not the best for trick or treating here as the weather has deteriorated severely w steady rain transitioning to snow. Hmmm. I have no need to go out and muck around in it. That's indoor beer weather. Ha! Plus I've more drum stuff to address and the unstoppable ever-pelting rain of overdue house chore guilt. Here's Rhinegeist Chain Mail Pale Ale Just beginning to snow right now. Cheers!
