    Hello!

Saturday slides into the rearview mirror here in Oz with a lovely 26-degree day (79F) sinking below the horizon. My hayfever tells me Spring has definitely sprung, and runny nose and itchy eyes aside, that's a good thing after a cold, wet winter.

Today's Spring beer is Pukwudgie from Small Gods in Auckland, New Zealand. It is one of the many good things to come from the Shaky Isles, but of course, it is not as good as if it had been made across the ditch here in Oz. Just don't tell any Kiwis I said that!

    Cheers!

Good evening Az, Saturday is ahead of us here and I’m drinking the classic Duvel.

Snitches get stitches so I’ll shut up about any Kiwi and your comments, but knowing some it’s unfortunate they don’t come much on BAs.

    Cheers!

Thanks also for the many positive comments and compliments I’ve gotten about a sketch yesterday.

Into the flood again… so I made a big mistake:

Cheers for getting us started. The only bad thing about an earlier NBW opening is your prose filled openers. We are supposed to be in Autumn by now, Still highs in the 20s ( C ) & the lows are taking their sweet ass time about getting down near 0. For the most part, closer to 8. At least the drought appears to be breaking

Well, I'll be here and on NBW in a few hours from Wisconsin. Sadly, I'm going alone. My friend isn't feeling good. I told him I'd get goodies for him.

    Good morning.

Alder Beer Co. (Seregno, ITA) - KIWI PARTY - New Zeland IPA (6%)

44 cl can (7€) packaged a week before tasting.
India Pale Ale, mainly produced in the summer, in which only New Zealand hops are selected year after year. The malts are of German origin (Pils, Vienna, Cara and the addition of a small percentage of wheat), while the yeast is of Anglo-Saxon origin.
As soon as the can is opened, fragrant summer and tropical aromas (petals, white peach, melon, pineapple) and a lighter note of citrus peel.
A beautiful golden color, practically transparent except for a light haze.
Fragrant foam and the right amount, although with little structure.
In the mouth, a beer that makes freshness its strong point: medium body, overflowing taste that ranges from pineapple to mango, from melon to papaya that invade the palate and end with a decisive citrus bitterness (grapefruit, cedar).
The bitter note arrives like a cleaver blow to break the extreme tropical fruitiness (similar to Ace juice - Orange Carrot Lemon) of the initial taste (not like in products strictly indicated as "modern") and has a clear peak that also leaves a pleasant bitter aftertaste (more citrus than herbaceous) on the tongue, while on the palate the tropical notes remain in the background.
A beer with a crisp and explosive taste, it transmits all its freshness.
Fruity, fragrant, bitter, all while maintaining a perfect balance.
I think it would also be appreciated on the other side of the ocean, in these conditions of freshness.

Good day BAs! Thanks @AzfromOz for opening the bar this evening/morning and to @Jack_14, excellent review!

Off to another cool morning - may get up to 50F later today - if it doesn't rain, I may burn some more leaves - my ginko and sycamore have mostly dropped, but my neighbor's red oak and red maple are still hanging on.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Finally! A non-NEIPA from the latest BA Big Beer Box!

Final impression and summation: 3.75 Good for the style – the advertised raspberry is marked, the pineapple MIA.
    Rating 3.55, rDev -11.9%

I tried to tell @MacMalt that his team easily had a chance in the "South's Oldest Rivalry" last week. Sadly, it wasn't much of a game to watch (though gladly I couldn't watch it).

I don't have to tell my second team's opponent's fans they have a chance against the currently third ranked team. They've done it almost every year, and I have only bare hopes that today is an anomaly and this week's "game of the year" goes to the home team.

    Settling in already with this...
