Well, I can't sleep. Might as well honor my late boss, Bob Feuling. I haven't started one of these in a long time.

I found out yesterday that we are finally getting this years Celebration on Thursday. Damn excited, and will be buying a 12 pack. I asked my brewery rep if we are going to be celebrating this week, and she was confused till I said Sierra Nevada.

I love Celebration Ale, I’ve been drinking it since the mid 90’s. I think I’ll have another

Chimay Triple as no Celebration to be found here. Hoping now that the POTUS transition goes peacefully. Onwards and upwards Americans!

    Cheers!

Thanks buddy! Certain political slime will change nothing for me. Beers are our central. And by that I mean you and me brother. Beers. I wish I could get some USA crafty amazing brews to you cheap. Damn. It's just not fair.

    Good early afternoon, the bar.
    Drinking Old Engine Oil.
Dry and hoppy. A far cry from all those syrupy, chocolatey stouts that are so popular now

Certainly not speaking for @Shanex , but the European craft beer scene is booming. There’s way more than the common Belgian brews that many think define what’s available here. I’ve been in France for a year, and have had no envy for any brew in the US, save for a couple of Firestone Walker things.
In fact, if shipping was cheap, I’d send boxes of mindblowing goods to several of you.,, maybe even to Shanex, too.,. Cheers.

Right on @MadMadMike I guess we’re a few years behind the US re-craft beers and booming breweries and craft scene but the options here are plentiful.

    Cheers!

We had a 40 case buy from from our distributor of SN this week to get the best price to us, and we did half of it as Celebration. Glad SN finally got it here in central MN.

    Good morning.
This was my beer #3) on my personal list (of 36 beers out of 800+ in rotation) that I used to not waste time at the recent "EurHop 2024" Festival.
Obviously these are notes taken on the spot, put into sentences.
    Just to be clear.

Birrificio Bondai (Sutrio Zoncolan, ITA) - KELLER (Botte / Barrel) - Cask Kellerbier (5.6%).

Poured by gravity from the barrel at the "EurHop 2024" Festival (4 tokens full glass).
Beautiful and clean bright golden color: transparent.
Foam of the right amount, medium consistency (quite creamy).
Aromas of cereals and durum wheat bread crust, ears of wheat.
In the mouth a beer with a super smooth body, cellar temperature and zero added carbonation, which helps to bring out all the aromatic nuances that characterize the product.
The malty notes dominate, which translate into "crunchy" notes of cereals and bread making in the mouth that fade into softer, sweeter notes reminiscent of honey.
There is also a light herbaceous hint, of green field grass/hay, not bitter, but which gives lightness and a sensation of freshness with its vegetal contribution that integrates in a very balanced way in a context characterized by malty notes (cereals, bread, biscuits).
The finish is soft, with light sweet notes (breadcrumbs and honey) on the tongue and notes of cereals ("crusca" your bran, i.e. "Residue from the milling of wheat") on the palate.
A beer that honors the historic style of German origin, I was struck by the sensation of freshness of the product and the balance of each taste element that emerges from the drink, without there being an overpowering by this or that aroma or aftertaste and giving each sip a quick drink and at the same time with an absolutely pleasant and non-trivial aromatic range, "classic" but super-fresh.

Trying my first from the second of three six packs bought a dozen days ago. This is very consistent with the draft and cask versions brewed at the Clybourn brewpub over the past few years. No deviation like there was when they tried brewing at the AB Plants. Fulton is brewing and canning all of this brand.

If you liked this at the brewpub or taproom, you'll like this packaged version.

Maybe I can get someone’s thoughts on this one:

    Belhaven Wee Heavy.
There’s a very scottish character to it... a smell and a taste kind of like dead leaves, but with a meaty/funky/smokiness to it. It’s a very distinct flavour that reminds me of my recent trip to the south-east of Scotland. Is it something in the soil? Am I on to something here, or am I just being weird?

Think peated whisky. Though there are no ingredients listed that should give it that flavour.

Needed a beer so we took a quick walk to Juova.

Helsinki is lively, the air is crisp and cold, and it’s already getting dark. I love Finland!

Grabbed a mug of Fabián tmavý 14% (5.1% Czech Dark Lager) from Pivovar Hostomice. Delicious.
