This one gets better and better. Bitter, vinous aroma and taste. Clean finish.

 

Got the Sam Adams Beers for Cheers pack from Costco and this is the first one I'm drinking out of it. Nice seasonal beer.

Good day BAs! And thanks to my brother's alarm dogs for spotting that skunk walking by at 0600 and bringing it to everybody's attention for about 15 minutes... Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Long, boring story here (Thanks for asking!) - when in the SAT area, I usually hit up several Spec's - the one on DeZavala has had the best selection of beer and booze. BUT, each annual trip I find a narrower selection of beer brands as well as a reduced selection of single bottles. This year marks my final beer-hunting trip to DeZavala - HEB (the local grocery store chain) now routinely has a wider variety of beers and a tonne of singles at better prices, obviously depending on the location of the store. I may return to Spec's the next time I drive down to cherry-pick their selections of scotch and rye, but not for their beer. This trip I was forced (OH - stop twisting my arm!) to purchase several brews from Prairie Artisan, just to justify using the store's restroom.

Final impression and summation: 3.25 Almost average brew at a premium price.

Don't believe they added anything beyond double boiled three grain malt boils, yielding a nice Neapolitan blend, and one of the strongest non BA Imperial Stouts I can recall by memory.

This is a very thoughtful gift from Craig, and I'm a very happy beer drinker this morning who is destined for a nap once I finish this selection.

Enjoying a few at Pilsner Urquell! I must say, this beer has become probably my top "dessert island" beer with this trip. Fresh, it's unreal. It's basically a perfect beer.

Did the tour, had fresh from the wooden tank, etc. Just a beautiful beer... I've always loved it, but this trip has solidified it in my Mt. Rushmore of beers no question.

Funny this should come out this week...


As I was just wondering, after enjoying some Sip of Sunshine, how long it had been since I had gotten to enjoy on of the local OG DIPAs from when I first got into this site. I am not sure if this was once all Falconer's Flight hops, but the site indicates there is now some Citra in the mix.

Very good, with a decent toasty malt backbone to stand up to the bitterness until late. I debated a second six pack, but we have a pretty full fridge. With this taste, I may end up regretting the decision to get just one.

Rainy morning, again. Had a bit of snow earlier in the week.

All Day IPA is a regular drinker of mine on Sundays at the Old Chicago. On draught.

This All Day is definitely different and doesn't satisfy me as much as the regular All Day. I WILL finish the 15pack, though.
