Lion's Share X from Lakewood Brewing up in Garland. Bit of a timid Belgian Dark Strong Ale -

Final impression and summation: 3.5 The hidden ethanol is a plus; otherwise, the gentler dark fruit flavors would be submerged. This grows on me as it continues to warm – I may pick up a couple more boxes for future drinking.

Along the same lines - since we flew down rather than drove - my purchases of local brews has been VERY selective - plus the problem caused by the decrease in beer inventories at my favorite Spec's (Both variety and quantity) makes it hard to find anything worth hauling home - the HEB on 306 has a MUCH better beer selection these days and is going to be a stop today.

A kind of want of mine that I finally acquired thanks to The Bruery's liberal shipping policy. I got this and the 2024, both 19.7 ouncers, for $22 each plus shipping. $69 total. The beer is good enough for me not to regret the purchase.

Right along here ba. Meant to get to this sooner but a bit under the weather since Sunday. Very hazy 10th anniversary, dipa, tree house. Just a wow beer. Super concentrated hops upfront, with big notes of melon and mixed berries. Crazy smooth with a subtle dank note throughout. Got one can so I doubt there will be anymore left. 11/5/24,

Good morning BAs! Walked down to the park and put in some steps. Kitchen chores done, it’s coffee time - “Super Massive Café Deth” BBA Imperial Stout:





Canned 4/24/24. Poured at 52°. At almost 7 months, the coffee is still the major player, but it has backed off some from when I first tried this batch about 7 weeks ago. An impressive coffee stout!

Pulling out a stout that would fit @LarryV 's search for a lower ABV clean stout. This one bottle conditioned, so holding up well from the 3/1/23 bottle date. 6.4% ABV, 55 IBUs, poured in the 2024 WDCB Pint Glass!

Gosh Andrew, so sorry to hear that I had pneumonia during my first round of covid back in 2021- was absolutely miserable Praying for relief and a full recovery with no long-term effects!
