Not an LC member, but it’s crazy to me that the bottles released last week weren’t offered to LC peeps.

It's not exactly an endorsement chase the LC memberships, I can say that.

The bliss of being a new member for me is starting to wear off. I heard the first year is always the hardest, but I thought that was about marriage

I am enjoying it, but it feels like an exclusive country club membership that doesn't come with a ton of perks.

They didn't even offer Coconut Vibes to LC. Then it sat for weeks as a package. They've been using any beer with hype to fuel public sales/events and LC has been an afterthought.

I’m perfectly fine with using beer to drive on-site visits and hype up events. I just wish that when beers have limits of 3, 4, 5 or no limit per person that La coterie at least got a chance at 1pp. Like there was tons of all the anniversary bottles and offering LC 1pp on them wouldn’t have made a difference.

Going to disagree slightly here. Sunday there were probably 250ppl in line thus it was 5pp.

    So that’s 1,250 bottles.

1 pp to LC would have damn near wiped that amount out.

All this says to me is that LC shouldn't have gotten as big as it is because it cannot be supported properly.

I'm almost reticent to post this as I've only been in LC this year, but to hell with it - it'd also be nice that, if you're going to the brewery for an event like this - at a minimum LC should have its own line to get bottles or drafts. That doesn't seem like a ridiculous perk to me.

While that’s valid, my buddy went to the cellar and got 5 bottles at 4pm. So who knows how much were really sold over the 3 hour span cause they were around a while. I do see and understand the point.

I can tell you. There were less than 10 cases left after the line ended.

Wouldn’t have lasted 15 seconds in an LC online sale.

Get all of your "I joined LC and it wasn't worth it!!" complaints out, while you still can.

It seems to me like anyone that joins, or stays on, after this forfeits a right to be disgruntled about not exclusivity perks that were once commonplace. Everyone's gotten fair warning, at this point.

We have now until Feb 2025 to complain about it

I used to be a Family Tree member at Hardywood and didn't renew after three years of consecutive declines. No regrets whatsoever.

And that if LC wants one of these they'll have to trade for it or buy it on secondary like a "non-LC"

If the offers to LC (or any membership) continue to decline in quality, it's worth mentioning, just as much as discussing improvements in membership qualities. On a forum setup to discuss beer, other users may get the invite in the future and want to be aware of what precedence SP has set and whether or not those alterations in options increase or decrease the perceived value, which will be highly individualistic. Whether that registers as complaints or criticism is up for the reader to interpret.

To clarify my tone here, I'm not -with a degree of seriousness- saying "People aren't allowed to complain about this in the future!!"

I'm simply poking fun at the fact that LC complaints seem to have no become so commonplace such that future members will have little reason to be surprised about a perceived "drop in quality" of the offerings.
