I guess the season isn't over quite yet. Having a glass of fh Bodhi. Still quite good. Also trying a fh Obelisk sculpture garden wcipa that is quite good.

Still another one-- Hop Harvest Hazy IPA from Oakshire

A nice burst of hops when you pop the top, and fresh earth as you sip. Slightly sweet with an astringent finish. Slippery and spritzy mouthfeel. Flavors of herbs, orange peel, and some murky greenery. Becomes quite acidic after a few sips. Overall this is in the NEIPA vein with the fresh hops adding to the aromatics. Tolerable but very sharp and bitter.

Had likely my last fresh hop beer of the season yesterday with Fremont's Cowiche Canyon. 30 days old and still drinkable.

Menace Brewing here in Hamsterdam just dropped their FH today. Dan said it was good. Also the Zeeks/Fountain Brewing has 7 Freshies on, with 2 being brewed in house.

Still at GM, where I am now in possession of a Gold Dot Centennial collaboration with Varietal. Doesn't have the FH pop we look for, but an enjoyable brew.

Finishing the evening with a fh hazy from Single Hill. The 2024 sky finder.

This is terrific. Easily the best fh hazy I've tried this year. Intense melon and green flavor. This is really good.

At Roscoe's today, with a glass of draft Citra slicker. My first of the season alas. It's good, but I suspect not at its optimal best.

Getting pretty close to my last fh beer of the year.

Revisiting this, I generally subscribe to the notion that beers should be tracked as vintage only when the year is stated on the label/cork/etc. Fresh hop beers are the epitome of vintage, though, and each year is a separate experience even if the recipe and/or fresh hop variety is the same as last year. This year’s Cowiche or Wetwired is different from last year’s in a way Dark O’ the Moon or Jubelale can’t be.

Johns MKT SW pdx has the Barley Browns farm fresh PJ on tap. Like John M said, you could of told me it was regular PJ. Maybe a slightly different flavor profile (which is still delicious), but nothing that i wouldnt normally just attribute to batch variation.

not sure when they brewed this beer, but drinking it on Nov. 2nd seems odd

Grand Fir So We Can Party Mosaic IPA

Loyal Legion putting out fresh hop fire, yeah. A tasty beer, even though I'd pretty much given up on fresh hop season a few nights ago when Mrs. vurt brought home some (tasty!) Citra Slicker.

Seems like a good stopping point.

Stone's Throw Community Fresh Hop IPA. Made with hops from folks in the neighborhood, so who really knows what's in it. Tasty though.

I found I had another one-- Freshed Coast Strata fresh hop IPA from Hetty Alice.

This is highly aromatic with that distinctive mix of peach and dankness. Light, lively, and spritzy on the tongue. Actually tastes like strawberry with some bitter citrus plus peach. Really fruity, some malty sweetness, and very appealing. There is a moderate bitter aftertaste which is actually quite pleasant with all the fruit and the sweetness. Overall this is highly sippable, if quite a mouthful of flavor.

Cross posting to share the final fresh hop of the year for me. I believe this is Real Ale’s Celebration-inspired tribute.

Alright, my last one too. Fresh Hop Fiend (Citra) from Stoup. Don't confuse this with the Citra IPA of the same name. This one is the Italian Pilsner.

Dry and tangy with expansive aromatics to start. Flavors of some fruit notes but mostly resins, pine, and grapefruit peel. Light body and sharp finish. This is marred by the very bitter aftertaste and the fading aromatics. Still, it's worth a gulp of resiny hops.
