Thanks for the tips. In the end I didn't actually make it out there. However, one of my fellow parents was kind enough to offer me a can of Very Green 10th Anniversary which he had picked up on the way. I have to say I enjoyed it quite a bit. And I'm certainly a fan of Citra and Galaxy hops. Will definitely try to find more Tree House beers if I can, though realistically my chances are very low. And at the risk of homerism, I have to wonder was it _so_ much better than something like Double Fuzzy? Not necessarily looking for an answer on that one

Very different beers and styles coming from NEBCO. Both equally great, but different

So this is incredible. Think recent batches of lights out and on but in the full body format.

All that house yeast and bubble gum flavor. All the hop saturations and flavors of 2014. Can say I’m absolutely blown away. Why can’t more of their beers taste as these once did? The dance of hop amazingness and bittering sitting on my tongue well after sips is awesome. Well done resurrecting a gem.[IMG]

It's funny. I had exactly the same reaction working my way through my four-pack this weekend wondering if it was my brain knowing it was an "old" Tree House recipe or if it was really more reminiscent of the time we'd wait for hours for growlers. Glad to hear I wasn't the only one.

I hope the response to this beer reaches them and they make more like this. Of all the offerings I've tried for the first time this year from them, this comes the closest to the flavor of the early days of TH for me.

Notch is my local (Brighton) and I've always been a fan of the complex simplicity of their beers.
Taproom and number of offerings is definitely more like Europe in that sense.

Not a fanboy of treehouse but more than impressed with their success.
Hate the ticketing system....with a passion.
Tried so many of their beers over the years but especially with their IPA's, I feel like they start to blur together, flavor wise, but maybe that's just my palate. Still a fan of several of the core beers though and have enjoyed quite a few lagers and even the occasional cold brew coffees.

When's the last time you visited one of their locations? I haven't had to buy tickets in well over a year. Walk up, get a wristband by showing your ID and then you buy your beer right at the bar, and they put an X on your wristband for each beer you order.

It's definitely been a while, maybe Charlton in early 2024?

The UI on their ordering kiosks in Charlton is terrible.

To add to this, the X's on wristbands (and limits) are only Friday through Sunday -- at least in Tewksbury. Came for lunch today and no line for drafts, buy with your credit card right at the bar.

Yeah there's longer lines and a little wait during prime time, but they've definitely figured it out.

I don’t know man. Sometimes I may taste something while there and decide I want to grab it and shoot to the kiosk if I already had a Togo order on the app. The kiosk order takes me maybe 45 seconds? If anything it’s faster than the phone app. Just make sure you always search for Gennaro instead of McClane to save time.

It's fine, wallet. We can take another hit. We'll be ok.

I think the JM anniversary is pretty uh not good. Watery and muted.

I enjoy peacharine hops but they've added nothing to these beers, in my opinion.

Yeah the interesting thing about peacharine is that it's been a primary component of some of the absolute best beers they've made over the past two years, but when they throw it in something old or familiar, it totally dominates. Excellent hop, but it definitely seems susceptible to being too much of a good thing.

The 10th Very Hazy was way over the top sweet. It drank like a TIPA. Also, it's a little silly that they changed almost the entire recipe and are still trying to call it the same beer

It is on my list for ordering tomorrow and it's easily the most anticipated of my selections. Thank you for sharing your opinion on it! You too @wehaveamap !
