Haven't had Schell's product lately, due to their prices - I used to work in New Ulm and the locals (who either worked in the brewery, were related to people who worked in the brewery, or worked blue-collar jobs) began buying other brands due to their sudden price increases around 2019. One guy I knew there, a diehard German who made very good money, would buy beer by the pallet from the store just down the road from the brewery, but stopped when Schell's went up $3 per case. Anyway, Hauenstein made a comeback and Schell's quietly leveled off their increases (the Martis, who are very nice people and very accessible, mostly since they went to HS with all the locals, had the displeasure mentioned to them and apparently reversed course), so the locals are happy again.

Big pillowy head dissipates to a nice head. This beer is quickly becoming one of my top favorites - Castle Danger Brewing out of Two Harbors, MN.

The citrus hops right off the top seemed strange to me, but the more I drink it, the more they play nicely with the dough. You taste the citrus, but immediately get bread/dough right away that carries right thru the finish. The citrus goes to the background after the nose/initial taste - I initially wrote it was indiscernible after the initial taste, but it does linger very softly with the bread flavor. I love it! If you like dough/cracker beer, this is the one to drink.
