We had lunch at the Brewings and Eats last weekend (and the guys went back just for drinks the next day) when staying in Rehoboth. Really enjoyed their brewpub exclusives and old favorites. And was surprised and happy to find the bottles of Palo Santo at their store next door. So not as relevant to me as they were 15 plus years ago, but still relevant.
I occasionally find 90 Minute at the local grocer for less than $10/6pk. For that price I like the bold flavor, so ya, still very relevant for me.
Well, Punkin is still my wife's favorite pumpkin beer. I had not seen it in my local stores here the past few years, so I figured they just don't ship here any more, and basically gave up, so I was _very_ pleasantly surprised to see a 6-pack of the 2024 release. But for myself, for me the big draw of DFH was the 750ml specialty releases they had in the mid-late aughts. Things like Sah'Tea, Theobroma, Chateau Jiahu and so on. Well, I guess no one really makes beers like that any more, so it isn't just a Dogfish thing. I used to drink a decent amount of 60/90 minute too, but there are so many IPAs these days...
I'll always have a special place in my heart for Dogfish's Seaquench Ale, the beer that turned me into a sour drinker. But I haven't seen it near me, in San Diego, in a long time.
These 2 and the Midas Touch were reasons to seek. DFH is not the only one in a neutered market place. Now it's one or two offerings from most that consist of the flavor of the day and whatever still keeps the boat afloat.
Long thread! Have probably chimed in multiple times over the year(s?). Short answer: Yes! I don't purchase their new releases as often as I used to. The majority of them have been disappointing since 2019 or so--although that agave grapefruit blonde ale and Blue Hen Pilsner are good. But I say "yes", because SeaQuench is my favorite hot weather beer, and I also enjoy a cold fresh 60 Minute now and then. They certainly aren't the influential titans they used to be, but they're still a decent brewery.
I have to chime in to say that except for a pricey pilsner I haven't seen too much of them either. I loved them back when I could pick up a bomber for reasonable price and had a great selection to choose from. I liked Palo Santo, bitches brew, and theobroma was my favorite. I also tried ta henket and I'll remember more as soon as I sign off. I wasn't a 60 minutes fan , i was a finest kind fan. I'm not too much for strong beer either so it's rare that I buy any. That's why those bombers were great. They didnt commit me to a six pack or send me across town to a bottle shop.
I was at a store today that had a bunch of 4 packs of Immort Ale and many single bottles of Raison D’Extra. I didn’t notice the dates for Immort Ale but a bought a single Raison ($11) from 2014. May be a mess but figured is worth a flyer purchase since I gave this beer a 4.93 rating many years ago. If it still is holding up, I’m heading back to the store soon.
I would love to see the old 750 releases again. They were all great, but my mom really loved Black & Blue. Would love to share a bottle with her again.

Can't list them all, but they should bring back the beers that were in 750s. Squall and Bitches Brew were amazing.
Chicory I am into... I would choose another beer with an apostrophe over Raison D'être (Sah'tea), but openness to offer old favorites... and this is key (and selfish)... widely enough to reach me in the DC area is appreciated. Side note: gonna be sharing your gift from the Spring with a friend who likes Palo Santo as much as many of us here. Will likely post, as we'll be comparing it to one from my cellar
I still like much of the high ABV Dogfish offerings (anything Utopias BA, Dogfish 120 etc.) but unfortunately distribution to Minnesota has diminished greatly and we get mostly the basic stuff like Dogfish 60 and Dogfish 120 which are fine but I often find myself passing over them to try something new.
Not quite, in the US. One Imperial pint, or twenty imperial fl. oz. is 19.2152067609 US fl. oz. So the pints, quarts, and gallons are not exactly 5:4. Also weight ounces have their peculiarities, too. Most US measures are avoirdupois oz. but precious metals are in troy oz. And the av. and troy pounds have differing numbers of ounces (16 and 12). Anyone for metric measures?
