Browar Stu Mostów (Poland) ‘Drunken Sailor’ Baltic Porter.,. Cheeeers!

Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
    Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain.
    Quaintest thoughts, queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away.
    What care I how time advances;
    I am drinking ale today.
    - Edgar Allen Poe

Have a good Saturday. I was having a nightmare about being in The Hills Have Eyes while looking for a beer store in the middle of nowhere (serious). So I have been up since 6 AM smoking the last of my Lemon OG Snowcaps.

Haven't had one in a while, but this is an amazing hazy DIPA. Amazing juiced aromas up front of candied orange slices/juice, vanilla, lemon, passion fruit, pineapple, mango, melon, white grape, apricot. The taste follows much of the same suit with mandarin orange slices, vanilla, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, grape, coconut, berries, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, wheat, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, spicy bitterness on the finish. Super smooth and mild warming 9.5%. 4.25/5

Hit and run post in between FOBAB sessions. Hope to get a few more hours of sleep after completing this somewhat intimidating pour before heading out for the afternoon session.

Full NBW #227 treatment linked here. Bottom line, this is a solid Scotch Ale Barrel Aged in Bourbon, with notes of chocolate fudge not noted in the submitted FOBAB notes. Very solid offering.

Hope everyone has a great beer day, and look forward to catching up with the thread later today.

    G'day all!

Tomorrow is NOT a special day but today, I'm sipping on an Other Half Gouda which is double dry hopped. Participants? Citra, Strata, Comet and Eclipse. Working pretty well for me.

    Prost!

I've decided I want to go day drinking to Hidden Gate Brewery Downtown GSO with my wife today, and get some savoury eats kitchen food. They open at Noon.

    My Go-To IPA.

Good day BAs! Thanks @MadMadMike for opening the virtual bar - Poe is a fit topic for barroom discussion - I would suggest perusing Marie Bonaparte's "The Life and Works of Edgar Allan Poe - A Psycho-Analytical Interpretation" - got some juicy psychobabble explanations of what Poe was REALLY talking about.

Today's New Breakfast Beer was received in a trade with @not2quick prior to heading to TX:

Final impression and summation: 4 Looks like virtually every other American Imperial Stout on the market. Pleasing cocoa/caramel aroma/taste, with little trace of bitterness. Well-hidden alcohol. Very easy drinking stout – could almost be a lawnmower beer.

    Rating 3.97, rDev -2.9%
