    Thanksgiving finds me enjoying the 2024 FoBAB Gold medal winner in Specialty & Experimental beers, and runner up Best in Show from a hyper local brewery. Black Horizon sat a Mexican lager in Koval gin barrels and added rosehips, hibiscus, and orange peel and pulled out a winner.

    Good morning, BAs! Slow rolling the holiday; low stress, not a ton of extra prep work needed for dinner tonight. Pie for Breakfast was a big hit with the littles (no surprise there).

    Now ready to start slow sipping the holiday. Got a few ideas for later brews, but for right now, my partner and I are going to split a Black Tuesday Stacks Reserve - Chocobanana. Because that seems right. :grinning:

    Last beer for awhile is an Angry Chair & Brujos colab, Umbrage a DDH TIPA with a great meat and cheese plate (cause I don't know the charcuthire word).... that the wife whipped up.

    My daughter and SIL arrived last evening from Columbus - always great to be with them! My lovely daughter brought me.....wait for it.....beer!
    A mixed 6'er - including this new one to me....gotta love grown up kids who enjoy beer too!

    Sadly, the Beer Study in Chapel Hill is moving to Carrboro and won’t open until January. So I’m at the Durham location to buy some local stuff to take home. I couldn’t resist a pour of Brew 6000 from Fremont on draught. Cheers and happy Thanksgiving!
