    I felt a little disappointed too by the hype but my mind immediately went to this: If it means I can buy stovepipes of this at Honda Center or Angel Stadium instead of whatever slop Brewery X/Noble has flooded the fridges with, sign me up.

    You all got me worried, so I just opened one of my bottles of FOCOCOMO and it tasted like it did fresh. No off flavors. I had my bottle in the fridge since I got it. I will say that the abundance of head that quickly faded was a bit odd, but no off flavors that I could detect.

    Went up and tried DSN and Dark Forces a couple days ago. DSN I think is the most consistent release they do every year. It's always good.

    I also really liked Dark Forces, took a botte of each home. DF doesn't have the burn to it that FF has, much smoother. Could drink it now or sit on it for awhile and I'm sure it'll be great too.

    This year they combined Fococo and Fomo to make Fococomo. I personally liked them separated, Fococo in every iteration was amazing and Fomo was solid, but it was a pretty good blend of the 2.

    Had my other bottle of fococomo tonight. It’s still terrible. Mt Rushmore of worst BL beers. I love BL, truly, but this one is not good.

    Fococomo sounds horrible as a word and a beer. Not releasing Fococo is plain criminal. No wonder this whole ass thread barely clears 1 page a season.

    Keep making Cocktail Beers Guys(im bombers wtf!?) , you're doing great catering to soccer moms and dads in OC!

    ‘Same here. Opened mine on Black Friday, and I ended up pouring it out. Something very off with it.

    Popped a 2022 FO on Xmas. Still has that real pronounced berry-ish flavor to it with a roasty dark chocolate underneath it. It's not bad, but it's pretty different from the other FO's imo and as a result I don't like it nearly as much as the ones before and after it. Still sitting on a 2020 FO wondering if the heat on it has died a bit.

    In the meantime, wondering where HH b2 is..

    I recall back in 2014-2015 doing a blind taste test between FO and Vanilla Rye. They were so neck and neck and nearly indistinguishable from one another. If memory serves, FO won, but by an eyelash. I had a 2024 FO on Black Friday and a 2024 Vanilla Rye recently and the difference was stark. FO was decent, but a shell of its former glory. Funny you mention berry flavors, because I picked up a lot more dark fruitiness than I remember.

    On the other hand, the 2024 Vanilla Rye was still superb. Just tons of vanilla that complimented the base stout so well.

    Interesting, I was not a fan of this year's vanilla rye. I remember liking the 2018 vanilla much more, and of course the OG VR as well.
