Still up after an hour sleep, hoping to get back to bed soon. Still trying to finish the challenging WBAYDN #4423 thread with all the photo loading issues.

Glad you enjoyed the Revolution Life Jacket Dave @Blogjackets ! I'm looking forward to your B. O. R. I. S. selections soon, and picked up a Hopping Frog Wednesday as well. Thank you @LarryV for the https://freeimage.host suggestion yesterday, the one working for me today.

Full review linked above, full New Beer Weekend #228 treatment linked here. Bottom line, I should have waited to next week based on Hop Butcher's MO for very fresh (6 days) cans, and the new to me Krush hop is OK, but sweet for my overall preferences. Still a good beer.

Think I'm done linking Google You Tube, but have alternative sites to listen to possibly listen to some of the great music posted daily, and Soundcloud to listen to and post house musical band leader @LarryV 's tunes, starting with this selection.

Hope everyone has a great day, and should return later today with a few. Cheers!

Good day Jason and thanks for kicking the weekend off officially.

Vertigo West Coast IPA, a Parisian beer. Using Magnum, summit, Sorachi Ace hops.
    Resinous bitterness. Good one.

    Cheers.

I titled this one “Good evening, Clarice.”

Really nice!!! Anthony Hopkins? Great emotional capture with the eyes, he looks menacing.

I think that's one of your best yet. Cheers!!

Happy Saturday BA's! Thanks @ChicagoJ for opening the bar.
Nicely done @Shanex. You're doing Sir Hopkins justice.

Starting easy with a complex and smooth Sacred Profane Pale Lager.

Good day BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for opening the bar - now go back to bed! @Shanex - definitely Anthony Hopkins - the eyes have it!

Today's New Breakfast Beer, as I approach the end of the BA Big Beer Box:

When the box came in, I sorted it from potential worst to best, leaving the new Saurez and Firestone-Walker selection for the end, with the Revolution selection which I'd already had closing out the box. So, THE END IS NEAR!

Final impression and summation: 4.25 The aroma alone is worth the price of admission. The flavor would be definitely smoothed by aging in oak barrels, preferably having held bourbon previously. Overall, a decent barleywine which I would purchase again.
    Rating 4.37, rDev +5.3%

    Cross-post with NBW.

Happy post Thanksgiving Saturday BAs! The dogs were hesitant to go walking at 7am as the temp was 47°. They’ve been fed and the kitchen cleaned…it’s time for some new “coffee” - BCB Vanilla Rye Stout (2024):

Bottled 7/31/24. Poured at 54°. I pulled it out of the house fridge (set at 37°) and let it sit on the counter for 1 hour to warm up to cellar temp. This vanilla variant is excellent, especially if you like vanilla. I’m working on review for NBW.

Later this morning I’ll take the dogs to the St. Pete Saturday market on the waterfront. It will be in the upper 50s by then and sunny. Should be fun for all.

Cheers and have a super Saturday y’all!

Good morning my fellow degens drinking 14% stouts before breakfast

I actually have a highly productive day lined up but couldn't let my haul from yesterday get ignored any longer! Trying the Macaroon first.

ISIL cross-post. Lakefront Brewery Black Friday. Wisconsin's most legendary bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout. This is from yesterday. This was my first time attending the release event on Black Friday. It was an incredible experience.

    G'day all!

This is a relatively newish addition to the Crooked Stave portfolio and it is pretty tasty. If you like nutmeg and cinnamon, which I do.

    Prost!

"Okay. I will stand down. Apologies. I am in a bad head space today.

P.S. I was in the wrong, trying to be funny, but just coming off as an a-hole. I appreciate the honest nudge of constructive feedback. It’s more than we’ve gotten in the last year of the run up to unemployment."

@micada no worries man. It happens. I'm a believer that being able to say you were wrong & apologize is a sign of good character. Cheers!:beers:
