Jack's Abby House Lager. Mouthfeel is softer than I remembered. Delicious though.

 

Lunch is served, spaghetti and meatballs with a Trillium Melcher Street IPA.

 

This one is bold and delivers a nice punch in the finish.

Happy football Sunday ba. My girls bday so I’m only home for the 1:00 games. Watching the miserable Jets off to another wonderful start. A diamond in the rough, citra dipa, sand city. Nice hop juice,

1) Half Acre Ridge Tree (4.5%): A Czech Dark Lager from Chicago with flavors of cocoa, dark chocolate and earthy grains. Yeast and clean.
versus
2) Drekker That’s A Real Nice Ski Mask (5.1%): A German Schwarzbier from North Dakota with flavors of dark red cherry, chocolate, espresso. Mildly sweet. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Czech Dark Lager vs German Schwarzbier Battle.
First try at both of these. Half Acre Ridge Tree. A Czech Dark Lager. Dark grains, cocoa, mild roast. It's rounded, clean, and to style. Excellent!
Next is Drekker. This Schwarzbier has a dark citrus and cherry flavor upfront. Some chocolate and espresso underneath. Finish is slightly fruity and mildly sweet interestingly, which I am not used to in Schwarzbiers.
Half Acre gets the win here as this one is spot on for the style.

 

Happy Sunday BA's! Currently at Rhinegeist Brewery for a Holiday Market. The mrs. knocked out a decent chunk of Holiday shopping. I'm currently drinking a Merge...a Cascadian Dark Ale.

Grabbed this crowler at Twin Elephant yesterday, The Last Waltz. It's a really nice Altbier, and i was psyched to see the style be brewed.

Good morning all. Drinking a Parlay 6 Brewing 10:AM Blonde (too bad it’s 45 minutes past 10:00 already). It’s an okish beer. Light buttery aroma and taste, high in-mouth-feel. Nothing special.
