Rocky Mountain T.O.R.I.S. The Tyrant from Hoppin' Frog.

Final impression and summation: 4.25 Another good iteration of the basic B.O.R.I.S./T.O.R.I.S. formulation. Otherwise, nothing special.

Happy Holidays Advocates. A cross post from Holiday Beers Tasting tread. Taking the day off. Why not a seasonal? Found this one to my liking. The 7% abv doesn't outshine the base beer and spices but still provides that nice warming we like this time of year. Glad I stumble upon it. Cheers!

Thanks for kicking off Friday and the first Holiday Beer Post @MadMadMike . Really like your note about giving. Glad your enjoying the Christmas festivities and markets with the Misses @Shanex . Hoping to do so here later today, and if so will pick up some diapers and donate to Revolution Brewery's Holiday Drive with maybe one ore two more stops. Also need to pick up the annual Trader Joe's Vintage Spiced Ale for my Saturday selection for the Christmas Tasting.

WBAYDN Take: Better fresh, especially complexity and coffee flavors, but still drinking good now, and a bit of a drop off from the 2020 pull of the same batch (3.75 today, 4.25 cellared four years fresher, 4.50 fresh).

Drink your beers fresh, don't buy too many so you are able to drink your current stock fresh..

Another new beer to me. Val Dieu Winter Ale 7%. This has such a soft, well rounded mouthfeel. Spicing is hardly noticable, I do notice it build as you drink. Enjoying it.



Here's a lost tune. Never hear this one during the season. A shame too.

 

Weihenstephaner Vitus works really nicely on a freezing day.

Lunch! Look at that beauty! Good Word Brewing German style Pils. I was told by BA on another tread that German Pils is too much of a hyper niche beer for restuarants to keep on the menu. I like a Hamm's from time to time, but I'll take this almost every time.
