Late night for me: Beer Creek Dragon King Imperial Stout followed by Right Brain Pig Porter. Both quite tasty.

A catch up post, on the road, up to see the family in Illinois. Half way stop is in Little Rock.

Moe is happy to be at the hotel.

Checked out a new brewery a block away from the hotel...

    Southern Tail IPA is first.

    More from Southern Tail

Southern Tail's English ESB and burger.

    And their Belgian Triple.

I have notes, so when I get a a chance I'll add some reviews. Perfectly OK, but not exceptional.

Another brewery within walking distance of the hotel...Lost Forty Brewing. This is easily my favorite brewery in AR that I have had.

    Lost Forty DIPA

    And barrel aged imperial stout.

Both very good, as would be expected.

    OK, back on the road...

    Good morning.
This is one of my (two) favorite Italian blanches, yesterday I opened one late at night, returning from a long day at work and from the weekly shift of the Italian Football Cup (As Roma - Sampdoria 4-1).

I have already talked about it several times, here is my review already added to the database:

    https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/51983/522591/?ba=Jack_14#lists

33 cl bottle (5€ at the beer shop).
On the label: "Lot: L0724 - best before end: 02/2025".
More abundant foam than I remembered.
Always fragrant and floral, I like drinking a lot.
Carefree but not at all banal... quite the opposite.
Only FIGU MORISCA (blanche with prickly pear from Birrifcio di Cagliari), in Italy, I slightly prefer to this one.
Great job, you should try it. And I'm not a big drinker of Blanche or Fruit Blanche at all.
But if something is amazing, it's amazing.

Yesterday at a kiosk near the Olympic Stadium, I also bought a Christmas Strong Dark Lager ("CAPUT MUNDI") from Birrificio dei Castelli, which I plan to drink and review soon and it's also my first Christmas beer bought so far, in addition to the usual two 75 cl bottles of AVEC LE BON VOEUX from Brasserie Dupont, a great and timeless classic to savor and notice the differences with previous vintages.

    Sláinte .
    Cheers .

Good Morning and thanks for the open @MadMadMike . Looking forward to your formal reviews for a future road trip @champ103 , and would like to see a future portrait of Kelly LeBrock @Shanex .

Listened to the one and only CFB game all season, UNLV's first bowl win since John Robinson led them in 2000, and first 11 win season as a Division 1A school. UNLV and The Strip is located in Paradise, Nevada, the latter to avoid casino taxes. They both have a Las Vegas postal address.

Will save a formal cellar review for January 2025, but my initial thoughts the coconut is really going strong, same a chocolate cake / fudge base. Still waiting for the barrel to emerge. Paired with a Raspberry Paczki by Ideal Bakery, formerly in Chicago on Milwaukee in Jefferson Park, but relocated a few years ago to Elk Grove Village.

I missed it last night, but @beergoot , as of right now, Hammerheart does not have a taproom open. They just brew for distribution. The prodction facility is located in Ely, MN, which is a good 4 1/2 hour drive from my home in central Minnesota.

Good day BAs! Thanks, @MadMadMike, for opening the bar!

Another cool morning - part of yesterday's snow has melted but some remains. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Angus Frog (or is it Froggy Young?) appears nearly live on my can - the jack can be treated at the local STD clinic, with varying degrees of success, depending on the strain.

This is a decent brew, but not exceptional, from the Frog - but then the price point is low for their products. So, overall, it's a bargain.

Final impression and summation: 4 Not bad for a Stock Ale – could definitely be more aromatic and flavorful. Still, not bad for the price point.

Bought some beers. Now time to taste them. I stick to the classical Belgian beers. All the other stuff is too expensive and average at best. Cheers!

Happy Thursday BA's! It's a sunny, 70 degree day here in NWCF, 30's for the lows this weekend. Captain's Daughter tallboy for lunch prep.

This video kills me every time. If any BA's have not seen the David Bowie & Bing Crosby video check it out and then this one will mean a lot more.

    look: 4.25 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Pours a clear, soft yellow color, looks dark gold in the glass; dense, lively carbonation; thick head, white and frothy, long-lasting with sticky webs of foam inside the glass. Outstanding delicate sweetness on the nose; suggestions of toasted grain and light honey. The taste follows along the lines of the smell, perhaps a bit weaker notes of honey and toasted grain; decent hop bitterness. Great mouthfeel; medium body; smooth and generally slick with a touch of carbonation raspiness on the palate; light dryness throughout.

A generally fine and tasty lager collaboration. Warm grains, hop bitterness nicely complements the malt bill, and a mild warmth make for an easy drinking beer.
