Just want to apologize if anyone is seeing any weird photos from my post quoted above. I removed the photo in the quote.

I used the Freeimage.host website provided by @LarryV earlier this month after the post image site was having issues. The Freeimage site worked with no issues until today.

My Beer Photo appears normal in WBAYDN on my phone, but on my Windows PC using Brave browser, it displays a MTS Video picture. I tried linking the same jpeg link to a new post, and the image displayed was a Google icon, and then one my try featured weird SM photos. It's possible my PC has a virus or something, and the freeimage host website is safe, not savvy enough to know for sure.

Just wanted to let folks know in case they see weird photos using freeimage, and to let @Todd know so that people don't get dinged for trying to post photos only to have the hosting site replace beer photos with inappropriate photos.

Postimages appears secure at this stage, so I deleted the Freeimage.host links on my phone and PC, and will return to using Postimages. Really hope Beer Advocate enables the discussed app link for photo hosting soon, and that that link is secure so we can soon post images safely and securely without any issues.

I have not noted anything odd about Freeimage - and with the protection I have on my PC it would definitely have flagged the site if it was not trustworthy. I believe the issue is with your Brave browser.

Thanks for your reply and update and confirmation. Since my photos appear fine on my phone, guessing the issue has to do with my PC settings / apps.

Didn’t want to be alarmist, but also wanted to give folks a heads up. I’m running scans as well on my PC just in case.

I think it's the browser you're using.

Try a different browser and see if you have the same results. We do not support the Brave browser at work because we have had issues with it.
