I've avoided posting in this thread intentionally of late because TBH, this has been a rough year and I thought this was the cherry on the cake.

Far too many emotions to make sense, but... I will try. More thoughts to come after this evening.

    Porter.

Was cleaning out the, ummm, storage area for adult beverages and came across at least a half dozen empty growlers, several of which haven't got the current CBC logo but are tagged as porter.

Please sir, may I have some more?

One added thought: if you don't know Phil or Will or Dave or Laura, say hi tonight. I know Phil is retiring, but spare a thought for a man with vision beyond his years. My first night there was after a Bruins game

And if you have the chance to hire any of the other three, good on you as they've been good on us all for a rather long time.

    Very missed they will be.

And I'd support them in anything they do going forward.

I heard the man say..."I burned the recipe", but I have bottles of it somehow.

Many things change and that was a long time ago.

I have only shed a tear a few times in my adult life, but I did so tonight walking out of CBC for the last time. I just had so many good memories there over 20 years. The people who have 35 years of experience have it even worse.

Cheers to 35 years CBC! Last night was a wonderful party with lots of good energy, familiar faces and a rocking crowd! Huge kudos to the service staff for working their butts off to keep a beer in every hand and nachos and tenders on every table. Phil and Will and everyone at CBC have set the bar for how to celebrate and remember an historic institution and bring an era to a close!

Opened and finished my Flower Child growler last night. I wasn’t able to get into the city last night, so I drank my CBC out of the fridge. Opening the growler was like the old days of getting growlers. I pooped it open, and the aroma of hops filled the kitchen. Still have bottles of Benevolence, Lemon Yellow Sun, and The End.

Paid my last respects on Friday. Tall Tale Pale Ale and a festive atmosphere. I've visited this brewery more than any other by far, the beer was always top-notch.

Wish some Blunderbuss had made it to Friday, but the Tall Tale was delicious. Such a good pale ale, which is getting harder and harder to find

It was pretty impressive how quick the food and drinks came out. Such a great staff. I tipped 100%.

Drinking a Cambridge Amber on draft right now at Packard’s in Northampton, and watching the Pats get smoked by the chargers.

Had a Flower Child last night at Woody's before seeing Home Alone at Symphony Hall (with the Boston Pops playing the soundtrack). Delicious.
