Last of the wrapping up done, it's time for a beer.

Tiny Science by Verdant Brewing Co. I believe this was rebrewed at the end of this year because it was their highest rated IPA of the year. Hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, Nectaron, Superdelic.

The sister-in-law made the xmas porg.

 

I don't always drink beer this early but when I do it's because I plan to annihilate myself.

 

Good morning BA! Went to bed early in my cold old drafty house last night and slept long and hard…this morning’s eye opener comes courtesy of an IP trade with @ChicagoJ earlier this year in Chicago - GI’s “Dapper Rye”:



Bottled 4/21/24. Poured at 52° . Straight outta my basement beer/wine cellar. An exceptional Rye double barrel Rye whiskey BA impy stout. Whiskey, chocolate, dark cherry on back end. My kinda boozy heat from 16.5%. A welcome eye-opener this 21° morning…thank you Jason!

Working on notes…we’ll see if I make it over to NBW . Today’s high is forecast as 32°. Sunny, so no snow. My plan is to drink beer and wrap Christmas presents…we’ll see if I get to the wrapping .

This is a pretty good West Coast IPA from Breckenridge. Probably my favourite from the variety pack.

Glad you enjoyed Dapper Rye @DoctorZombies It's still in my queue, but anticipating a solid one based on previous reviews. It's the first beer I recall trading based on prior praise from others I trust, vs. my favorite first hand experienced local beers.

This beer is similar to the one from yesterday, with slightly higher scores based primarily I reckon on truth in style lableing.

Full review linked above, full New Beer Sunday #1035 take linked here. WBAYDN take, this is pretty sweet, though not beyond style guidelines or expectations. My palate would have liked more bitterness to balance things out, but nice morning beer.

Rickey Henderson made me an Oakland fan, despite the A's being a rival of the Chicago White Sox. RIP King of All Leadoff Hitters. It should have been Lars John Fisher.

Canned 11/08/24. Consumed at fridge temp. Citrus, melon, white grape must. A tasty DIPA!, which according to my records I’ve not had before…

Sitting/drinking in the blazing sun (with barely an occasional gentle breeze) even at cooler temps (25° now) is so much easier than the last few dreary days…Cheers y’all!
