Bison stuffed shells and bison meatballs for lunch, with a Trillium DDH Broken Bridge IPA.

 

I thought the Bardstown was excellent, but also that the base is a strong contender, maybe the best base in a few years.

 

28? I was going to comment that western NY was warmer than Florida, but then I noticed it’s 15 degrees here. LOL!

Noticed they have zombie dust a lot of places in Ohio but it's hard to find gumball head. Just came from Tennessee where they have gumball head at Walmart. The gumball head 12 packs rang up as sixers. I bought 5 12 packs of gumball head.

Right along here ba. Watching the 1:00 games and the lousy locals.
Juicy all the way, dipa, tree house. Another mixed bag here. Not that juicy, with decent citrus upfront, but also lots of herbal back notes which seem to overtake everything else. Glad to try it and cool can art, but not a repurchase
for me,

 

1) Drekker Knock Knock (4.8%): A German Dunkel from North Dakota with flavors of caramel, bread, dark toast and hints of orange and cherry
versus
2) Third Space Good Cheer (5.4%): A German Dunkel from Wisconsin with flavors of dark grains, cocoa, oak and earth, faint roast. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

German Dunkel Battle. First is Drekker. Second try at this. Caramel, bread, brown sugar and toast. A bit lighter for the style. Nice flavors and drinking excellent.
Next is Third Space. They have been killing the dark and malty beers lately. Not sleeping on this. First try. It's dark. Some grains, yeast, but also oaky notes of cocoa and espresso. Not overly sweet. Outstanding and will pick up more of these

Frigid day here today. Started off about 7 above zero with a real feel of -5 degrees due to the wind. Now it's a balmy 18 degrees headed back to 5 degrees overnight. I've done everything I needed to do so I'm not headed out again.

Good time to enjoy this Berkshire Holidale German-style Weizenbock. Quite a good beer, although a tad sweet. If they could dial the sweetness back a notch it would be excellent.
