1) BlackStack Next Week (8.2% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Mosaic Cryo, Strata, and Nelson for flavors of grapefruit, passionfruit, dank white grape and lychee. Clean and dry.
versus
2) Toppling Goliath Fire, Skulls, & Money (7.8% canned 11/8/24): A NEIPA from Iowa with Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, and Nelson for flavors of grapefruit and orange citrus flower, vinous white grape, gooseberry with some pine and berry to balance. Juicy, complex, and clean. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Happy Sunday BeerAdvocates. BlackStack vs Toppling Goliath IPA Battle. First is BlackStack Next Week. Great hop combo with Mosaic, Strata, and Nelson. Bright citrus, pineapple, melon, and mango. This is growing on me.
Next is Fire, Skulls, & Money. Orange, white grape, citrus flower. Some tropical melon from the Mosaic. This is in it's prime and beautiful. @GreenBayBA how many of these did you pick up?

It's from the Advent Calendar City Brew Tours. There was a majority of beers from NY in that pack and they were all good.

"First" beer of the day (my previous one ended up being an OTR ), this is definitely way better but thin around the edges and lacks sufficient carbonation. Otherwise, some nice subtle layers going on here that hit the palate in small waves, enjoying this Canadian Barrel-aged shah. @tacosandbeer
