    Good day BAs! Thanks @hanex for opening the bar! Another cold but sunny morning - was talking with my brother in TX last night - 19 here and 76 there - they always get a laugh out of our misery!

    Final impression and summation: 3.75 Actually pretty typical for a Keller/zwickel bier – the expected low carbonation and hazy. However, I expected more yeast presence.

    Good morning BAs! I did not want to get out of my nice warm bed…outside temp is up to 26°…this eye opener will warm me up - “Trolls, Trolls, Trolls” a BBA Imperial Stout with vanilla added, tipping the scales at 13% abv:

    I can’t decipher the code, other than bottled 2024. Poured at 50° straight out of my basement beer cellar. Lots of vanilla from beginning to end. Mouth warmth from alcohol…kinda boozy, but make no mistake, vanilla is driving this bus.

    Meeting friends from college for drinks uptown this afternoon, so I’ll try to behave today. Cheers and have a magnificent Monday y’all!

    Happy Monday BA's! I finished all Christmas this morning and completes a 4.2 mile walk. Celebration while we ponder lunch. It's a cool for us 59 and should get to 71 later.

    So much for behaving…Westbrook’s “Mexican Cake”:

    Canned 4/25/23. Purchased at the brewery 5/23. Brought up from my cellar to warm for about 15 minutes; poured at 55°.

    The cinnamon has backed off and the habanero heat is front and center. Chocolate. The OG for this style. Delicious!
