Stopping in at the prettiest brewery in Seattle: Gasworks. B-Lines and B-Sides hazy IPA.

Time for a little unpasteurized pivo, Bernard Světlý Ležák 12° Unpasteurized. Na zdraví!

 

New Glarus Black Top (6.9% no bottling date): A Black IPA from Wisconsin with flavors of orange citrus, bitter pine and lightly toasty and roasted notes. Clean.

Finishing off the year and I think Black IPAs are my style for the 2024 year. I'd had them before, but seeing a lot more of them this year and incredibly impressed. This one from New Glarus started that realization.
This has previously won gold at GABF. Bitter pine upfront like a WCIPA. Then all the resinous citrus qualities with a bitter, and roasted finish. Bitter, roasty, and clean. The complexity here is amazing. A new favorite from New Glarus for me.

Do They Know It’s Christmas? ~ Band Aid

 

Been doing a lot of housecleaning today getting ready for Christmas Eve when my daughter is coming over. The grocery stores are freaking insane with crowds - I went down to Market 32 yesterday and today around 10 am and ended up just driving through the lot and back out - it was undo-able.

Luckily my local family owned market was a lot more manageable. They were crowded as well, but they have enough people working the checkouts so it's easy to get in and out. At least now I have most of what I need for Christmas eve dinner. Finally sitting down and having a beer - Little Willow Family Time. Another local brewery from out around @SABERG area in Florence MA.

 

On the grill today is chicken breast, salmon, and a couple pork tenderloins.








First Old Brown Dog in 6 years as I've now lifted my Smutty boycott.

I missed this old fave.

Easily in my top-10 all time beers of any style.

My fave beer from Schilling thus far after having tried ~30ish.

Fresh Karlův 13°. Canned 12/15. Pairs nicely with the Golden Hour.





There's a good chance I will go back and buy all the remaining 4pks of this wondersauce.

It's been months since it has been available anywhere locally.
