This is listed as a German Pilsner, but could easily be mistaken for a helles - to my nose at least. The hops are distinctly absent on the nose and weak on the tongue. Otherwise, very drinkable.

Good morning BAs! Stayed up late and slept in again today. My eye opener is from an IP trade with @Danmullens1 at the Sheboygan get together in July - Mikerphone’s “ One Hit Wonders Vol. 4”, an imperial stout (21.11% abv!) that spent 19 months in Pappy Van Winkle barrels, then 10 months in Four Gate Brazilian Amburana Oak Bourbon Whiskey barrels:



No bottle date but the 1st check-in on Untappd is 3/30/24 at the brewery. Poured straight outta my cellar (it’s not so cold the past couple of days) at 56°. Holy sh*t are you trying to kill me Dan? Big Boozy Isley-like whiskey drenched cinnamon Red Hots candy! It’s crazy unbalanced/almost undrinkable…I’m sneezing…my nose is running…and I can’t.stop.sipping

Thanks buddy! I’m taking notes for NBW, but I’m 1/2 a bottle in and I’m feeling woozy…

Morning BA’s!! Stormy outside, perfect time to build a fire and enjoy this Alesmith - Speedway Toasted Coconut & Vietnamese Coffee.

When I lived in California I was a member of their club, and had access to many different Speedway Stout variants. I dropped out of the club when I moved to Texas (wouldn’t ship here), but crazy to find beers like this now on my local grocery store shelf!
