    Founders’ KBS (12.0% bottled 9/2024): A BBA American Imperial Stout from Michigan with flavors of rich chocolate, fudge, oak, maple syrup and smooth bourbon underneath. A twist of bourbon lingers.

    Trying to appreciate BBA stouts more this year as they often seem so rich and thick and overpowering bourbon and alcohol that sometimes my palate which is geared for lighter lagers and IPAs doesn't really know how to interpret them.
    Still learning, but this one is rich chocolate fudge upfront. Some oak in the middle before a sweet syrup, bourbon, and alcohol on the finish. The flavors are fantastic. Shows the alcohol a bit more than I'd like. I guess that's the nature of KBS though. I guess that's the nature of KBS though. I bet it settles a bit with some more age.

    Thank you Folks. It's never great to have a love one spending the night at hospital, but until there are more details/results I'm trying to not to get too worried.

    Many years ago something like this happened with her and it both AFib was a very mild heart attack. We shall see.
