Transient Brah Brah New Zealand IPA (Nelson/Motueka) at the source. A more balanced Midwest style IPA, which wasn’t expected but is a pleasant surprise.

 

Dinner is prepped. Gonna be a cold windy one out by the grill tonight. Inside for now with this beaut from Tree House-JJJuiceee Project Citra+Galaxy. Cheers!

We've been lucky so far, no power outages, but that wind has been brutal. I have a huge branch down in one of my maples and it's hung up in such a way that I can't pull it free - going to require a chain saw. But it's too freaking cold out so that's going to have to wait. Hope you get your power back quickly!

This is some tasty stuff.

 

Transient ‘24 Egg Nog F- - - - (Castle and Key bourbon barrel imperial cream stout w/ nutmeg, vanilla beans, ice cream powder, and cinnamon). These guys always deliver when it comes to their barrel program. Definitely get an egg nog vibe on this one, but supported by a great base stout and barrel presence. Crazy good.

A shorty of Western Justice barrel aged imperial stout to get me along with the dismantling of all things Christmas indoors. It's always more fun putting it up. Cheers!

For those BAs living in mountainous regions such as Rockies, we don't have the tallest peaks here in NH, but we do have some of the most treacherous conditions, including the Worst Weather in America. My last pic of such warning, that must not be ignored, was in glorious warm weather. Could've worn my man-kini:

A couple years ago when I banged out a single-season (SSW48) round of the Winter 48 Peaks, I had a rule of thumb that if sustained winds were 60mph+ or gusts above 90mph on whatever peak(s) planned that day I would abort hike or just stay home.

We've already lost two experienced, well-equipped backcountry folks to the mountains this year.

Anyway, it's been a couple months since mountain running season and I've not hiked or run at all since Oct.

Just renewed my USATF membership, NH Hike Safe Card, and registered for multiple mountain races this morning.... I need to get out there ASAP!
