This week's emotional sunset piece is dedicated to Chicago Bears fans! None of you have contacted me to experience the ultimate NFL and craft beer experience that I can provide in Titletown, USA. I have the finest Illinois and Wisconsin craft beers. I have a freezer full of venison bacon. I will be here for the 2025 NFL draft, and every season after that. You should visit me, and let me take care of everything, in the center of the NFL universe.

That is quite an offer I wouldn't deny. Chicago has some of the best craft beer in the country. It's hard to admit to be a Bears fan right now, but I bet that investment will pay off as they have a bright-looking future. That looks like an amazing venison and Hop Butcher beer. A true Bears fan and BeerAdvocate connoisseur would appreciate the gesture and join you for that Micah!

Real nice hop balance to this one–some Doppelbocks, even for the style, can be too malt forward for my preference. Could be just very fresh. Cheers, all!

Boulevard 35th Anniversary Ale (11.5%): An American Strong Ale from Kansas City with flavors of rich caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon, and some maple syrup and red and dark fruits sweetness.

35th Anniversary Ale from Boulevard. Probably the best brewery in KC. Not a huge fan of American Strong Ales. This pours beautifully. Great and complex aromas. Gets you on the flavor and mouthfeel with the hot booze as expected. Not a huge fan of the style for the hot boozy quality, but excellent aromas and flavors here. Objectively this is probably really well-done.

 

Straight into the Urqs I go henceforth...

Only 13 on hand, so could be an early night haha!

Right along here ba. Black ops, bba stout / four roses, Brooklyn. Very barrel forward with lots of bourbon, oak, vanilla, and tannin. Base seems to be mostly cocoa/chocolate with subtle notes of coffee, brown sugar, and vanilla. Nice stuff, especially for its price point,

 

Northeastern Wisconsin's resident heavy metal guitar genius, Jeff Loomis, is resuscitating his legendary heavy metal band, Nevermore. There is much controversy, since their legendary vocalist passed away, but I am quite excited. This is a very nice Northeastern, Wisconsin beer. @LarryV, I will do all available BA Zoom calls. Gearing up for our first big snow in a while here in St. Louis. Could see 10” by Monday morning. I’m excited like a kid!
