I saw this Thursday night but forgot to post it here. Bums me out. Everything I've had from Hop Chaos has been really good, but I could only rarely get up that way on account of living on the opposite end of Spokane and rarely getting up that way when they were open.

Big bummer. Love the owners and have so many good memories when it was Pints.

It looks as if Snow Eater is closing down. The social media post is quite cryptic, but that’s what they are alluding to.

I'm not overly surprised, as I've heard for a couple years that the owner was looking to sell (Well, unless they DID sell, I didn't hear about it, and this is the new ownership closing down).

Snow Eater is reopening on January 17. Here's a post by the current owner (the original owner's son):
    https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1KRtgzLSYm/
He explains what was behind their temporary closure and how things will be going forward. Sounds like they're doing a bit of belt tightening and simplifying, things that have been happening to a number of small breweries in recent times.

Looks like it's getting close to Spokane Beer Week and the Lilac Festival Brewfest:

That's great to hear! Love to see someone having success in this business. Also, For The Love of God is literally across the street from where I went to elementary school, so I feel like I have a vested interest, even though I've only been there once :joy:

Wish it wasn't a hazy, but oh, well.we'll.
Looks like it's being packaged at Lumberbeard. I may attempt a vist there on Friday before work. If so, I'll attempt to procure a can.

End of an era. The CDA Growler Guys is closing on June 29:

Apparently, 64oz growlers will be going for $3.50. Been kind of unimpressed with Idaho in general these days, but I might have to get over that, depending on what's on tap.

I got curious, so I checked their website. Lots of blank taps already.

Also, looks like tree-fiddy is the price for the growler itself, but growler fills will be discounted.

Yeah, I quickly perused them after work last night, and concluded there wasn't anything there that was inspiring enough to make me end my Idaho embargo.

Yeah I started going to Pints when they first opened and my wife and I became friends with Derek and Patricia and we’d do tastings and game nights etc…we moved away in 2014 and just visited 2 weeks ago right after they sold Hop Chaos. So bummed I didn’t get a chance to hang out with them at the pub. That was such a cool spot.

Edit: They said they sold it but I saw a For Lease sign when we drove by. Do you know what happened?

I don’t actually. I think Derek told me it was sold, but I also saw the for lease sign. The brewery was in a separate building, so maybe someone is going to continue to brew in that spot, but open a separate tap room? All speculation, though

Glad to see they're not closing completely. The downtown space is already being spoken of as cursed, and this will not help change that reputation.
