Have a good Sunday. Had a late nap and then me and my wife got a lot of Cook Out last night so I am still full. All of the food is amazing and I got a Oreo PB shake with my tray along with corn dog and bacon ranch wrap .


So this has been in my fridge a long time, before I even met my wife lol. I am surprised it didn't foam out like most old IPAs. Revolution/Hop Butcher Superstructure. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, mandarin orange, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, coconut, guava, citrus peel, peppercorn, pine, honey, bread dough, light caramel, herbal, floral, grass, yeast earthiness. Light-med pine, citrus rind, herbal/woody bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body. Balanced creamy/bready malts, sticky hops, and light resins in the mouthfeel. Lingering resin drying with no cloying/astringency. Mild increasing warmth of 9% after the finish. Great smooth/soft feel for an NEDIPA. The nose was quite muddy, but not bad at all. Taste held up a bit better. Still very juicy with solid dankness. Nice showcase of Mosaic, Citra, El Dorado, and Sabro hops. 4.1

Was WAY late, jumped on at 10:00 knocking on the Zoom door and was denied.

That's odd - I didn't deny anyone from joining, I'm wondering if I just didn't notice the Admit button at the moment and it timed out on you. At least you did get in later though and it was great talking with you and the rest of the guys! Cheers - we'll do it again in a couple of weeks on January 18th.

 

A very cold Sunday morning and as luck has it we have 0 on the calendar. Going to do what ever I can to make sure the cars don’t move today. Crockpot dinner and a nice breakfast to start. I miss the baby on the bottle. Cheers all.

Best beer I've had in a LONG time!

Final impression and summation: 4.25 Delicious! Narwhal is perhaps the most consistently good stout that occasionally makes it into this area – when it does, I always pick up a case or two. This variant is supreme – two bad I’ve only got 14 cans left – enough to last two weeks with careful rationing.

Has a nice spiciness to it.

 

Rock Wall White Tide Witbier from Aldi. Amazing witbier. Great head retention and lacing on the glass. Aromas of pear, apple, banana, bubblegum, orange peel, apricot, clove, coriander, peppercorn, bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, yeast earthiness. A bit of honey, a bit sweet on aromas. Taste of big pear, apple, banana, bubblegum, orange peel, coriander, apricot, clove, peppercorn, wheat grain, bread dough, wood, herbal, floral, grass, yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, woody bitterness on the finish. Medium high carb and light-medium body. Crisp clean refreshing finish. Balanced creamy grainy malt and sticky spicy mouthfeel. No hop/spice astringency on lingering drying character. Very vibrant and complex yeast/citrus/spice flavors. Top tier for the style. I could drink these all day. 4.35/5
