    Happy New Year!

Not much *more* to say - MBC keeps rolling on in a close fight with Rev for the most dependable local barrel aged program over the past few years, with their membership being a great value run by considerate humans that work hard to meet everyone’s needs with flexibility in pickups and listening to feedback on what works and what doesn’t. And you can actually taste the spirits vs exclusively diabetes syrup!

I looked for news on the Indiana expansion but no recent information is out there yet.

I tried their Udderly Fresh Simcoe DIPA at VP taproom yesterday amongst a couple others and wow that is a very good, smooth IPA. Highly recommend.

Coming out of the gate with a bang!

We like to start each year with something special to set the tone for what the year’s MBS membership will bring. In 2025, the membership will feature a variety of new takes and subtle variations on classic More beers you’ve come to love, along with a number of brand-new offerings.

First up is More’s very first rum barrel-aged stout. Over the years, we’ve crafted several rum barrel-aged sours and have loved the complexity and nuance they add to our beers. Without further ado, we’re thrilled to introduce Double Barrel Mehndi 2025.

Double Barrel Mehndi 2025 begins with our classic Mehndi base, aged for 20 months in Elijah Craig 20 barrels. We then transferred the beer to Jamaican rum barrels for an additional 9 months. This is, without a doubt, the most unique expression of Mehndi we’ve ever created. The beer features notes of rich chocolate and oak tannins, complemented by a pleasant sweetness and the signature warmth of overproof rum.

Double Barrel Mehndi 2025 is a member-exclusive bottle and will not be available on public OZNR. It is in your OZNR “Orders” section now. It will be on draft and ready for pickup starting Friday January 17th when our locations open. Pickups will run through Sunday February 16th when our locations close.

Tried it on tap when I went in to pick up my bottle. Really enjoyed it. Super thick, lots of good chocolate and barrel flavor too. The rum barrel gave a bit of sweetness to the finish, but wasn't overpowering by any means

New barrel aged release coming soon:

Three years ago, we collaborated with our friends at Humble Sea Brewing to create a massive pastry stout. Today, we’re proud to introduce Castaways. After a 36-month slumber in Elijah Craig 19 and Weller 12 barrels, Castaways was conditioned on hand-toasted coconut, Mexican and Madagascar vanilla beans and cinnamon. This tropical treat is one you won’t want to miss!

Pickups for Castaways will begin on Friday January 31, when our locations open, and Castaways will be available on draft and to-go starting that day. Bottles will be priced at $30 each with a limit of 1 per person.

A special bottle that they aren't putting up for the public to make sure there are enough for the members? What a crazy concept

New BA release and another smoke show:

Back in 2021, we teamed up with our friends at Bottle Logic to release a legendary beer—Double Origin. It quickly became a fan favorite and remains one of the highest rated beers we’ve ever made. About a year later, we brewed another massive stout with them and aged it in Four Roses OESV and 10-year-old Buffalo Trace Mash Bill #2 barrels. Once it reached maturity, we knew we had to bring it back.

Double Origin (2025) was aged for 26 months before being conditioned on hand-toasted coconut, Ugandan cocoa nibs and Dark Matter Coffee. It will be released this Friday, 2/28.

A public lottery will open tomorrow, 2/25, and run until Thursday, 2/27.
