Thanks - one of my favorites!! I'm a Bigfoot fan - maybe he exists, maybe not

 

1) Hop Butcher Best Buds (8.0% canned 11/19/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Simcoe and Moteuka for flavors of orange citrus and zest, tropical green melon, and some lime.
versus
2) Hop Butcher Cosmic Glow (8.0% canned 11/5/2024): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Rakau, Waimea and Mosaic for flavors of orange, tangerine, apricot skins, tropical melon, and mango. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Happy Friday and Hop Butcher IPA Battle. First is Best Buds. Orange zest, some lime and green melon from the Moteuka. Great stuff.
Next is Cosmic Glow. Also a complex hop flavor. Some apricot skins and pine from the Rakau and Waimea. Great as well. Slight win to Cosmic Glow here for the complexity.
Winner: Cosmic Glow

 

NA Beer time!

Had this last January and liked it - still do!

 

We get about three months on real winter in North GA. That's about my limit. And the older I get ( I turn 55 in Feb) the less tolerant of cold I get.

 

It was unexcepted and welcomed after freezing our asses off for 7 days in NH/MA, 25 degrees and 30 mph wind forced us to sit inside and drink up there.....Cheers buddy!!

 

I worked in Antarctica for 6 weeks once, a long time ago...though it was the summer months there. Feb-March. I don't think it got that cold in the extreme, except maybe one day. Though there was at least a few days that was 50 degrees F.

Good afternoon BAdvocates. Drinking Russian River Citra Flash Mob IPA. Interested to see how the new WBAYN? format works, perhaps we can try it out for a few weeks and then possibly put it to a vote to see which format is better preferred? @Todd I don’t know, not my site, just a suggestion.
If this new format stays, I’ll definitely miss the first page posts of all the early risers. They made for great reads throughout the morning.

I had plans of getting shots of the winter weather we got in TX today, but we only got a bit of wet snow that is already long gone. First time with this beer. It's a decent offering. I prefer my porters be a little more dry, but the sweetness is welcome at the moment.



Speaking of sweetness, we got this little devil for Christmas this year.
