    I think this is the first thread I’ve started in nearly 15 years on this site and I absolutely KNOW it’s the first WBAYDN thread I’ve started, so it felt appropriate to start with my local’s best beer (IMHO).

    For a brewery dead nuts in the center of the country, they NAILED the WCIPA style with this beer - just check out the “Look” of the beer in the glass. Truly a pleasure to drink.

    Welcome to the new timing of WBAYDN! Kicking things off with a barleywine that I received from @DIM earlier today! Thumbprint Barley Wine 24 from New Glarus! An American barleywine with nothing added. 9.8% ABV. Thanks for sending this one, Dan! Notes over in the NBW thread. Cheers!

    Crazy day. Woke up to 8 smoke detectors going off. They were hard wired to a main power source so I got to get a ladder out and disconnect them one by one. Got more snow and while I went out to shovel in the late afternoon a neighbor was working his snow blower he actually passed out in the street. I ran over and he managed to get back up. Checked back later and his wife said he was going to be ok. She’s a physician so I believed her. Scared me, though as he was out for like a minute and laying prone in the street. Definitely earned this.
