    Taking a break from BA selections after three new to me straight BA Imperial Stouts, two of which I really enjoyed, but combined took a toll on me by Sunday. This selection is a nice change of pace.

    Howdy, all!

    This is Hawkers Beer's 2018 Aquavit Barrel-aged Wheatwine. A heavily oxidised 13% tipple that once I had in my head that it tasted like dill pickles, stayed that way no matter how hard I tried to tell myself it didn't!

    Good day BAs! Thanks Jason @ChicagoJ for opening the bar! Currently 27 F (-3 C), warmest morning so far! Looks like we might actually have winter this year, but we've been stabilized at three inches of snow for the last week+.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

    Final impression and summation: 3.5 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Body is a bit thin and the flavor and aroma are markedly one-dimensional. Weakly bitter but far short of astringent. I was hoping for a bit of smoke or dark fruit, but no luck, just mild dark chocolate.

    La Trappe Epos 0.0. The second Trappist NA beer after La Trappe Nillis.
    I prefer the Epos, fresh light blond with some wheat taste. The Nillis is rather sweet in taste as I remember.
