What beer are you drinking now? #4471

This one has a little bitterness, but is really excellent.

 

3 Sons - Hop'n Gator IPA 6.5% w/Amarillo, Centennial and Chinook Cryo - a bit mild but delicious - Cheers!!

 

This one is special, Brew 7000 from Fremont Brewing. Somehow one of my local spots got a keg, so I'm partaking. Only a small pour because I can't justify $15 for a 12 Oz glass.

Maybe I didn't get the memo but I wasn't aware that the new retro label did not apply to the cans. What's the point of having the new art in the box if the cans will look the same? Maybe they are getting rid of old (empty) cans or something.

 

Phase Three Warmest Wishes milk stout

 

1) Bauhaus Wonderstuff (5.4%): A Czech-style Pilsner from Minnesota that has bready, lemon, and salty flavors.
versus
2) Drekker Deploy Anti-Cowboy Measures (5.5%): A Czech-style Pilsner from North Dakota with flavors of lemon citrus, pale malts, yeast. Smooth. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

Bahaus vs Drekker Czech Pils Battle. First is Bauhaus Wonderstuff. A go-to Czech Pils. Bready, lemony, but today seems to drink a little-bit undercarbonated.
Next is Drekker. A new release and first try at this. Lots of lemon here. Pale malts and yeast. Not overly sweet. Drinks clean. All-around very nicely done from Drekker.
Winner: Drekker Deploy Anti-Cowboy Measures

 

1) Barrel Theory Rain Drops (7.5% canned 12/17/24): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Mosaic for flavors of orange, grape, tropical melon and berry flower. Smooth
versus
2) Phase Three Out For Delivery (7.8% no canning date): A NEIPA from Chicago with Centennial and Simcoe for flavors of yellow lemon, orange, pineapple, apricot, and mango. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Fun going up two posts in a row. Barrel Theory vs. Phase Three IPA Battle. First is Barrel Theory. All Mosaic. Complex orange, melon, and berries. Keeps with bright with some floral notes. Fantastic and complex flavors for a single hop beer.
Next is Phase Three Out For Delivery. Centennial and Simcoe for some older-school hop flavors. Lemon, tangerine, stonefruit. Very nice as well.
Barrel Theory has quickly become one of the best haze producers in Minnesota. I'd put them up there with BlackStack and Fair State. They rarely disappoint.

Happy Wednesday BAs! Attempting to warm up with a glass of St Ambroise Baltic Porter. Not only is this an excellent porter, it's also unbelievably good value ($2.70 per can, or about $1.90 USD). Cheers!

 

The "brewery" is all cleaned up and the yeast has been pitched. The numbers are good, but the SRM's looks a little off, as I was expecting Blackened Voodoo to be a bit darker from what I remember. The wort looks more like Brown Voodoo, but we'll see what happens. It sure as shit smells terrific though.
I dug through the Keezer and found one of these hidden.

Definitely my favorite Warsteiner offering that I have had this far. I wish I had a few more. Oh well.

Always exciting to receive my lottery bypass. I know @Beersnake and @eppCOS can relate.

I'd say it's THE reason I run the USATF mountain circuit, but each race is unique, super fun, and my fellow Goats are a great bunch of like-minded peeps.

BUT... this lottery is tough. I'd registered on 5 previous years and was selected only once.

This also means I gotta get my ass in gear!
