How did Snowed In get up there all of a sudden? Did they rebrew it recently?

Wild that it went to #46. Now it’s the highest rated beer I haven’t ticked lol.

Well I think it was “inactive” as in not rated for 2 years. So as soon as the first person rated it recently…it jumped right back in. I can tell u I had it last night and it was really disappointing. Tasted like straight suntan lotion :slight_frown:

This also suggests that the new version should be re-entered as a 2025 release similar to the Untapped method. Don’t get me wrong, I am a BA traditionalist, but this is all too common of an issue in the Top 250. Remember seeing all those early Tree House Curiosities hit the Top 250 a year or so ago? Same deal.

Yea I was the one who “unretired” a lot of those curiosities. That’s kinda what makes the top 250 the top 250 though. If each release was just a new year entered…then yea this would just be untappd. And you would have 10 diff kbbs in the top 250. I see what your saying to a degree but if “curiosity 11” gets re-released or a new “pappy black Magick” like just happened then the brewery has decided to re make an old classic and I think that should qualify it to be back in the top 250 if the ratings are high enough.

Great points. I think it makes for great discussion as just tweaking a recipe a little shouldn’t be grounds for a new beer, or a new year and hence a new entry. Same concept perhaps as it apples for the Top 250 for an occasional re-release unless the brewery states it will be a new “seasonal” beer or something like that at the very least. I think the BA guys do a great job with the Top 250, especially after the last user revolt years ago when they tried to yank it…(!)…and one of the best things is the the user input…. Am curious though where this less than stellar BA Snowed In example will go as I’m certainly not going to get my trade boots on to grab it only to find it yanked from the list…! Cheers!
