I tried them all yesterday and liked them all but would rank them - Fields to Glass, Whispers of a ghost, windswept and steady glow.
The first two were super drinkable with Fields of glass reminding me of super treat and whispers having that honey dew melon thing going on. Windswept was kinda forgettable and stead glow was a bit over the top with the hops and you could really taste the higher abv imo.

Sounds like I made a good choice in only picking up 'Fields'
Moment of patience is pretty good, too. Was wishing it had more maple while I was drinking it.

I’m going to call From Fields to Glass being Nate’s brew.

Snagged the 4 pack yesterday and having my first right now, Steady Glow. I definitely agree there’s a bit of classic tree house going on. I’m not 100% sure it’s the house yeast, but even if it’s the new one there’s something distinctly Tree House about it that I don’t always get from the newer beers. At the same time, I do taste the booze a bit and I think if I’m nitpicking (which the google form kind of invites!!) I’d prob axe one of the hops. But overall it’s very good - I won’t rule out voting for it. Won’t be too disappointed if this is the best one but am hoping something’s even better. Of my recent buys I’d put it over haze machine but not as good as Eggers Special. Kind of reminds me of Queen Machine, but I don’t think they’ve ever said what hops are in that?

    Beer/day 2: Windswept

Having a very hard time comparing this to Steady Glow - I think I rate them similarly overall, but my reaction to them is almost opposite. Steady Glow was over the top and definitely felt boozy to a fault. But the overall taste was interesting and extremely fruity and pretty excellent. This is a little more boring but is pretty perfect - it’s super light for 7.5% and is totally balanced in terms of sweetness and bitterness. Gut feeling is this one’s a little better, it’s just really well done.

    Speaking of ridiculous descriptions:

    Hold On To Moonlight [2-Pack]
(Stout, 7.9%, 16oz) Whose moon is this? Sneaking into my bedroom, carefully making the bed with its light, reading the spines of my books, pressing its little paws across my half-closed eyes. Recognizing herself against the snow outside my window, where steam curls out the buck’s soft nose from the engine of its heart. In her shadow against the trees, old houses slump their shoulders as chimneys puff their pipes. She has so many names without ever saying a word, cradling all that the day has tried to steal. Hold on to Moonlight is a rich and delicious stout intended to be savored in the quiet half of our days.

Cut out beer/Alc for one month. Figure out your maintenance calories and subtract 200-500 daily from that number and track it daily. Add in even just more steps and 30-60 min walks and it melt off that month. Then just adjust as you go and add in craft beer responsibly once your forgive it and Nate.

Figure we all nitpick on the beers here so adding in a little positivity on a Friday. Go kick some ass

Free distillery talks at Charlton? Interesting, maybe.

    https://www.telegram.com/story/life...talks-offer-insight-into-brewery/77847720007/

“The first Tree House Distillery Talk, held Jan. 14, served as an introduction for the team and their core four spirits: House Vodka, Richley Rum, Percy’s Gin and Kola Coffee Liqueur. A guided tasting of these liquids would cover much of the event. About three dozen Tree House fans settled in early, grabbing beers or one of two cocktails — a negroni and a daiquiri — the distillers were mixing up, before sitting together at long wooden tables waiting to meet the man behind the spirits.”

This is a perfect example of what my writing professor called purple prose. If you aren’t familiar with purple prose, read this definition that I copied from writers.com:
“Purple prose describes a passage of elaborate, ornate writing, whose style gets in the way and ultimately does not benefit readers. It is laborious to read, conveying small amounts of information through sprawling sentences.”

I'm not buying this beer because of this.

Tell me what is in the beer first. Write your weird fanfic after so I can just skip over it.

Finishing my last of the contest 4 pack rn. Overall, extremely worth my $21. Enjoyed all 4 beers a ton and forgot how nice it is to be able to get a variety without spending a fortune. (I swear it also tastes better when you’re on the fence about one and don’t have 3 more in the fridge.) Hope they see how fast this sold out and continue to do mixed 4’s.

Had Whispers of a Ghost last night. Tasted a lot like Juice Machine to me. First sip was incredible but I found it a little chalky the more of it I drank. Probably the one I would be most interested in seeing how it is in a couple weeks - none of these were too too green, but this one was the closest to it.

Last was From Fields to Glass. Another very good beer overall. Somewhat similar to the Fern series imo but less over the top sweet. Would rank it well among their other NZ heavy beers. Nothing in that category from them has topped C132 yet for me though I have missed/skipped a whole bunch.

    Tentative ranking:

    4. Whispers of a Ghost
    3. From Fields to Glass
    2. Steady Glow
    1. Windswept

They need to rebrew Steady Glow but dial the abv back a quarter to half point - could be an all timer.

If Nate ever teamed up and collab’d with Tarpey and the Veil, we’d be reading a thesis to understand what the beer is

    This is perfect.

Heading back up on Friday. Let’s see what this week brings. Also, Double Barrel Tree of Light is very good, but is literally the consistency of real maple syrup. If they thinned it out by 10-15% it would be one of the best barleywines ever brewed. And I’ve had some damn good ones
