Looks like there’s three TWCP Silent barrels coming

 

Loosen up those purse strings for $70 375mL bottles.

 

More like Tighten those purse strings and loosen up those lips.

 

I still fail to understand why a still, unblended single barrel is (one of? almost?) the most expensive beer they produce. These should be cheaper, not more expensive. And I mean this purely from an expenses side of the sheet, not a “what can we charge for this” perspective. It shouldn’t be more labor, it obviously doesn’t have adjuncts, and it isn’t taking up space with bottle conditioning.

 

People have proven willing to pay for alcohol that has been stored in a single barrel, unfortunately. Silent Barrel is also a sort of ultimate FOMO line up - each one just as limited as the last and can never be truly reproduced.

I really enjoyed the Silent Barrel I was lucky enough to try, but it also made me appreciate BBT and the skills behind making blends so smooth.

Good luck to any tickers or FTers of those bottles, but those are insanely easy passes.

 

It seems like every single side project release that goes through the wine and cheese place website leads to the site crashing

 

What's the proxy / pickup policy on these? I never get anything from TWCP.

 

You can list pickup name on the checkout screen. Very easy.

 

I didn't get that far - is pickup window long enough that I can just grab these when I'm there for stout week? Sorry for the Q's. I never order from TWCP - or havent.

 

All good. The only time I've seen them ask people to pickup quickly is around the holidays. I wouldn't think a 2 week window would be too much to ask. Worst case they refund you.

Archaic I meant. I never use that word. Probably because it IS archaic

 

I guess the 3rd one sold out already.

Last two times I’ve used their website, it processes the same order twice, so now I’ve got two pending charges on my card for these overpriced bottles that I’m not even buying for myself
