Thought the archive thread was gone, but see that The Bar was reestablished. Glad you found and opened @Shanex. I don't necessarily like opening consecutive WBAYDN Bar Openings.

Pulled this from the cellar, training for Cellaruary.

Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout (2018)



Full cellar review linked here. WBAYDN treatment, this is the most oxidized / degraded I can recall a past best by BCBS selection, These usually hold up well, even years beyond recommended date. Stored the same as all the others, so no explanation, not even speculation, on my end for the result.

Really can't think of a better song an accompaniment for the reopening of The Bar than Tom Waits. Also can't think of a better storyline than this one. God Bless Beer Advocate and Tom Waits!! Glorious vintage footage of Maxwell Street before UIC, my sus Alma Mater, turned it into Yuppie Scum condos.

Happy Monday BA's! Bunch of running around and a haircut knocked out. Now time to finish the homemade chili with a Guayabera for lunch. Temps are back to normal, 72 not and near 80 on Friday.
