    Hello BA!

    Summer storms are lashing my area this evening after a 40C (104F) day here in the land at the end of the earth.

    Perfect weather for sitting on the deck and drinking a beer, except I'm worried the deck will blow away...

    The beer I had before the storm hit was Pale Ale by Isekado from Japan.

    Would it surprise you to learn that it’s oxidized? Quite roasty, and there’s a surprising amount of chocolate flavor remaining, and even a bit of the peppers.

    Good day BAs! Thanks @AzfromOz for opening the bar! Looks like another beautiful January (In Celluary) thaw day again today.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

    Really decent beer - a strong ale - with the ethanol well-hidden. Wish I'd picked up a few more of these.
    Final impression and summation: 4.25 Although the barrel-aging is not obvious until the end, it definitely differentiates the BA version from the non-BA. The BA version is so much smoother and in general tastier.

    Hi all, I didn't get a chance to post yesterday as wifey had me walking all around the Miami Arts District and Wynwood. Wynwood Walls is pretty unique. They even made me feel welcome with a Chicago CTA car.

    Then, a flight at Cervecería La Tropical. Beer was decent, probably tasted better cause the atmosphere was fantastic. Beautiful indoor and outdoor space.

    Now off to Ft. Lauderdale. I hope to be back later with two brewery visits. Cheers!
