Revision’s Hazy Life IPA is superb. Feel is low in mouth and smooth. Taste consists of sweeter citrus with a crisp malty finish. Strong citrus scent. Beautiful high white head with good retention that leaves excellent lacing.
All hazies should be this good!

Working on a Hopnoxious tonight. Lots of grapefruit and resin, with a light-med caramel malt body. Has a decent amount of bitterness and warming heat to it. Not too shabby at all!

Starlight Gown Hoppy Kölsch from Knotted Root Brewing, which I'd never heard of, in Nederland. Colo.

Faint aroma. This really doesn't taste like much for all the hops [Motueka, Manalita, Peacharine, and Cashmere]. There is a green taste and something like fresh hops with that bit of murk. Overall, this is some sort of hoppy lager but lacks any of the perfumey zing of an actual Kölsch. Finally in the aftertaste the bitterness appears, along with some astringent bit of stems. Drinkable enough, but maybe needs to be in another category.

No beer right now but some Casper Wyoming news.
Mountain Hops Brewhouse is going to open a tasting room downtown. I am a bit apprehensive.

Had some of this smooth, toasted malty deliciousness earlier..

Packs some good flavor for being less than 5%- Definitely diggable!

    Cheers :beers:

Four Peaks Kilt Lifter from earlier. Bending the rules a bit as I’m not sure if this is brewed in AZ or CA. Thanks AB-InBev:rolling_eyes:

We'll say it's AZ for the sake of the thread  Location aside though, a pleasant brew for sure!

How IS Kilt Lifter tasting these days? I used to work for a company based in Phoenix and KL was my go-to beer any time I was down there. It was like a richer spin on Laughing Lab back then, but I probably haven't had one in a decade.

It still tastes great to me. Loads of rich roasted malt blended with a tart earthy fruited flavor.

Good to know. Corporate ownership isn't always bad. Poor Breckenridge was putting out pure trash for a couple of years prior to AB buying them. Even the brewery-only stuff was suffering. AB righted the ship. No clue about Four Peaks, but it's at least one case where AB actually did something good.

Had my first Battle Born Lager earlier. They’ve been making these beers for a long time but I didn’t really hear outstanding things about them so I hesitated on purchasing until now.

It’s basically macro-adjacent. Not a bad brew per se, but I won’t be buying another six pack.

How is this possible? I thought I'd seen "Kilt Lifter" before -- may have bought some years ago in the northwest.

The Pike beer was added to BA in 2001, and is still brewed..

Interesting. Apparently there are quite a few Kilt Lifters out there. Four Peak Kilt Lifter and Kilt Lifter by Molan’s were both added back in 2002.

I think "Kilt Lifter" is to Scottish Ales what "Copilot" is to AI tools.

Just finished Revision Brewing’s self-titled IPA.
    3.9/5 rDev -2.7%
    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 4
Look: Clear yellow with a medium white head that has nice retention. No lacing.
Smell: Very nice bitter hop aroma with a touch of sweet fruit.
Taste: Follows the nose but reversed. Sweet fruit upfront that is backed by mild bitterness. Very weak malty finish.
    Feel: Medium in the mouth.
Overall: I’d prefer if this beer had a more bitter taste, but it’s fine. A solid enough option for sure. I prefer it over 3/4 of Revision’s NE hazies, but it’s still not a proper WC-IPA in my opinion.

This Alibi Ale Works Contradiction Golden Mocha Stout out of Incline Village is delicious.

    4.37/5 rDev +11.5%
    look: 4 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.25
Look: Clear honey brown with a medium white head that has good retention and leaves decent lacing.
Smell: Delicious sweet cocoa upfront turns into an incredible and inviting scent of roasted oats.
Taste: A delicate balance of sweet chocolate, bitter coffee, rich vanilla and robust oats make this beer absolutely delicious and extremely quaffable.
Feel: Good. High in the mouth.
Overall: I was afraid that this beer was going to be too sweet for my liking but instead it is masterfully balanced. I’d definitely recommend this brew.

Sure, assuming that one's brewed in Ft. Collins. I believe they were contract brewing a few of the Voodoo Ranger items in Lacrosse WI (maybe elsewhere) as well.
For what it is, I like Juice Force. It tastes like someone mixed beer with some kind of juice mix powder, which is basically no different than what tons of smaller places are doing.
