Digging into this scoop of Weldwerks Chocolate Orange Stout 6% abv and shoveled my driveway. 2 inches of styrofoam snow overnite.
Except for the price, the beer is nice. Tastes like the boxed candy mixer candy piece that someone takes a bite out of and then puts it back in the box.
The base beer is smooth. I like the combo of orange & choco anyway. Cheers! BAs

    Trying something new.
Not sure if this beer is rated here yet.
    Cannot find it.
Vermeersen Tripel XXX, dutch beer, from Zeeland.

Bit a Belgian style white triple, with coriander and curacao (bitter oranges)
    8 % abv.
Looks beautiful, Very alive good dense head, yeast swwirling around.
Smells very orangy, but in the taste nice spices and a coffeelike bitterness are released.
    Interesting.

    1) Modist Pretty Metal (4.5%): A Euro Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark cocoa, roast, black malt and earth. Roasted.
    versus
    2) Bent Paddle False Hibernation (5.2%): A Czech Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of black malt, bread, coffee roast, cocoa, and dark fruit. Dry, clean and smooth.
(Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Minnesota Euro Dark Lager Battle. First is Modist Pretty Metal, an oak-aged Euro dark lager. Dark, earthy, with a slight oak sweetness. Excellent.
Next is Bent Paddle False Hibernation. Similar, but slightly more smooth chocolate notes. Excellent as well
Similar dark lagers. Modist pours better, has a little more earthy, oaky sweetness which I like and is unique, but Bent Paddle is spot on as well here.
    Winner: Modist Pretty Metal

For a beer near 5 1/2 months old, this still has some great aroma and flavors. It brings classic farmhouse qualities to the nose and palate, is nicely balanced, and drinks easily.

Sure did - had to be done. If you're concerned about my neighbor, he does dumb annoying shit ALL the time so I had no qualms about it.

I rarely get styrofoam snow here. Usually too wet. If I did, I might try my leaf blower to do the job if it’s only an inch or two. :beers:

While this isn't too old, after reading some of the comments in the Cellaruary forum, I realize I have many beers in my basement. Going to work on them before investing more. I'm sure my PBR drinking wife will approve.

I use my leaf blower to clear off the porch, but when you get to the paved driveway it's more work than it's worth. Easier to just use a good push shovel and it also does a better job.

I've been saying it for years, but there is no better snow pusher than this one from Bully Tools. I have both the 24 inch and 30 inch versions but I mostly use the 30 inch version. I've had mine for several years now and still going strong - no wear on the blade and gets the job done with ease.

I watch my neighbor with his plastic one and it doesn't even come close. These are pricey but worth every cent.
