...so, as some may know, I'm having a RIP for Marianne Faithfull today...and here's a Stone's connection with Marianne (that 'book by Bulgakov' - at least by RollingStone.com):

pFriem Family Brewers -- Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged Imperial Brown
    Barrel aged imperial brown ale
    ABV: 12.3%; pouring temperature: 53.7 °F; bottling info: 2023 - 09 02 23

    Thanks @William_Navidson
Was excited to try this new iteration as the predecessor is a top 5 all time BA stout for me.

This is good but not amazing. Smells of straight bourbon with little else hitting the nares. Very boozy on first sip and overly so to me. Thick and viscous on the mouthfeel with a nice coating of the posterior palate on the finish. Not overly sweet at all. Very drinkable but won’t clamor for more.

Ohh, that's a big un and a good 'un - got to sample that (it was my wife's) back in October in Hood River at the Pfactory itself. Tasty. Nice to see you're staying "light" on beer.
    Cheers, Dave!

What is the power of Hemera?

As she is a daughter of Nyx and one of the Protogenoi, Hemera is extremely powerful. Photokinesis: As the Protogenos of day, Hemera has divine authority and absolute control over light and brightness. Day Empowerment: Hemera becomes stronger during day or in really bright places.

    yes, more please !

...as a classic guy sort of guy (i.e., not going a doctor when I likely should), I do appreciate my current PCM - a DO...and I do have a family history of doctors...Grandfather Schiller (mother's father) was a GP, my Uncle Al (married my mother's sister) was a GP, and have a cousin who - well, I don't know what his specialty is - he's the son of my Uncle Al...

...anyway, I never cared for seeing the medicos unless under dire circumstances, yet they have done me well in the past (e.g., my shattered left arm in 2003, left knee total replacement (2017) -- hell, even my tonsillectomy back when I was nine or so (early 1960s), and likely a few other tales of good medical care)...but, yes, the docs only know (and care) about so much...we patients (generally) ain't idiots...if there were more genuine conversation about concerns and possible approaches to treatment, well, I think modern US medical practice would be further along than what many seem to perceive it as now...

    But……
Don’t wait till you need a doctor
To find a doctor that you like
    I love my doctor,
He’s fixed me a few times, very epitome of conservative, scientific, and willing to be progressive when the data supports.
It’s a huge comfort to have a professional you trust

...truth be told, as a bonafide old guy and, well, 'listening' to my better half, I'm leaning more towards NA beers to supplement my high octane beverages...I'm not complaining (too much)...

...and I think I was at pFreim in Hood River way back in the beginning (then again, maybe not), but my old Mansfield, OH best friend (one of several) used to live there for a few decades...any way, time and memories start to meld together, and reality and 'woulda - coulda - shoulda's start blending together and what really happened and what could have happened and what just ain't true are becoming one big blur...or maybe it's just the beer goggles...

How much does airport Pliny cost? Gotta be a decent dent in the wallet. I can get it for 6.99 at Total Wine....granted it is around 6 years old from there

Welcome to the Mild, Mild, West by Bow & Arrow Brewing out of Albuquerque. An English mild pale ale, and quite good.
