Dogfish 90 min. Is one of my favorites, but with the malt sweetness, I think it almost borders on Barley Wine.

I think of Stone first when I see this topic. Just bought a 12 pack, we’ll see…

This looks like my kind of beer. Description not too dissimilar to Comrade’s Superpower, with which it shares 3 principal hops, which is my go-to. If the OP, in New York, is within their distribution he should definitely pick some of this up.

BTW, we’re coming up on Pliny The Younger tapping. I think there will be some not a million miles away from you, Jack. Requires a drive to Philadelphia though. https://www.phillymag.com/foobooz/2014/03/03/time-pliny-younger-philadelphia/

A craft beer bar in the Suburbs (Capone's in Norristown) gets a keg of Pliny the Younger every year. In a thread I discussed a visit to Capone's for Pliny the Younger day:

"Last year for the Pliny the Younger event I met up with two buddies (Chuck and Phil). I spoke to Matt before this event about when he thought the keg would kick (he guessed it would last into mid-afternoon) so we arranged a meetup time of 1:00 and unfortunately the keg was already kicked when we arrived. I had already had Pliny the Younger many times before so the fact it kicked was no big deal for me but my buddy Chuck never had it before and he was really bummed out. Matt recognized how despondent he was and went into the basement and tipped the keg to get the last bit out (about 3-4 ounces) and gave it to my buddy Chuck and he was smiling from ear to ear when he received that beer.

Matt is indeed a great guy! Matt is a BIG fan of Porters and a couple of months ago I homebrewed my version of Hill Farmstead Everett (a Robust Porter) and I gave Matt a six-pack of this beer as a Christmas present. Good beer advocacy should be rewarded!!"

    Cheers!

~60 mi from the brewery, & ....nope. First I've heard of it.
I see all sorts of Ommegang brews here on these pages, from all over the country, that I've never seen here.

Probably already been mentioned, but Jack's Abby Hoponius Union. Not technically an IPA, as it's a lager, but it definitely scratches my itch for dry and bitter hoppy brews.

I was able to get a four pack of each recently and I'm sipping a Focal now. With both, they were definitely a bit drier than I remember, so I would definitely add those two to this list.

Double Sunshine is a great great beer. I was able to pick up another four pack last night. I think it just has a bit more sweetness. It is not as sugary as a NEIPA though. It's kind of in between for me so it may qualify for some but not for me.

Living in Vermont, I think Lawson’s Double Sunshine and Fiddlehead Second Fiddle are the best competition to Pliny the Elder.
