Opinions on Becks (American brewed)

I can't say I have ever tried it. Becks and Saint Pauli Girl were go tos way back in the 1980s, including dark lagers. Of course they were brewed in Germany back then.

 

Same here, the last time I had a St. Pauley Girl or Beck was back in late 80s.

 

Had it 25 years ago in Hesse, thought it was subpar then.

No. The OG German version was subpar for a German Pilsner. I was living there, so it was a let down. Have you tried the American brewed version?

 

No, and I thought that was what this thread was discussing.

 

I bought a can and even got a partial refund when I (and some other people) sued Anheuser-Busch. See MARTY V ANHEUSER BUSCH COS.

As for Anheuser-Busch making "Imported Beer", remember what they used to advertise:

 

I am also thinking about buying it. That is why I am reading reviews. Is it worth buying?

 

There are better Pilsner options available.
