    Good morning!
Just got back from a week spent skiing, with a wonderful climate and above all with friends from school.
We stopped both on the way there and on the way back at this tiny brewery (15 minutes from the city of Feltre and about 50 minutes from S. Martino di Castrozza) where I especially appreciated the low-fermentation beers that made the purest water rise, which flows differently... There's nothing you can do, you'll notice.
And in fact after asking if it underwent reprocessing (like reverse osmosis etc.) a guy who came out of the production room told me no and that in fact the water was taken directly from a source above.
I especially appreciated the low-fermentation (German style) and among these Marzen and Schwarzbier (but the Helles was also up to par, without straying in the slightest from the classic).

Birrificio di Quero (Quero, ITA) - GALDO - Schwarzbier (4,7%).

On the nose immediately aromas of cereals and toasted notes.
Black in color, with dark brown reflections, very dense.
    Creamy and soft beige foam.
Great smoothness of the water in the mouth.
    I point it out.
No one can give me feedback.
Then a boy from the adjacent production room is called and confirms that the water is not "processed".
The taste is balanced and free from excess with toasted and roasted cereal notes dominating, with never excessive nuances of dark chocolate and toasted coffee beans.
The finish is "smooth", soft with the cereal notes that fade the toasted and toasted ones creating an almost ash effect, which makes the drink end with these notes of bruschetta, toasted bread, inviting the next sip.
Classic and stylish, but not at all predictable, especially if you consider that this style of beer is now rare to find in pubs, especially in the central-southern area of the country as it is a style widespread especially in the north, where the German/Austrian influence also affects the brewing culture.
Happy to have taken it and shared it with friends of always.

    Ps.
We liked it and on the way there we had a two-liter bottle filled to drink together in the hotel (see photo).
On the way back to Rome we brought back 2 liters of good Marzen instead.

Houston, we have a problem. Double NEIPA from Uiltje (Haarlem, NL).

Not much NEIPA from the US here in Europe for at least the next 4 years I'm afraid. With trade walls erected and other 'bright ideas' everywhere.

In the end drinking local beer is allways good (for the environment and local economies). Stil I suggest open borders for beer traffic. As long we don't go back to trade walls with Belgium and Germany we'll be fine here I guess.

    Cheers All

Good morning BAdvocates. Cold, breezy and cloudy here now after a beautiful clear start to the day. Drinking yet another one of those Peroni Nastro Azzurros as I take a break after quick trip to town and back.
Cheers everyone, and have a great day.

I hope you commie-lib Euros (well except Hungary and other friendly nations) can learn your lesson after we deprive you of our precious haze bombs.

Just kidding. Going local is always the way to go no matter where you are.

I agree on principle but not everything local is that good around here, I already miss Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas Sumpin Sumpin ale and others… but any of which vanished from the shelves here well before trade war or tariffs was on again. We will see and hope for the best.
